But still, they've got a good selection of your basic needs and more. Got water, soda, milk, crackers and cookies, pasta, bread, veggies, steak, chicken, cheese, pizza, haggis, blood pudding, sparkling wine, white wine and red wine. Prices are fair, quality is good. Surely a good place to buy your weekly groceries.

The bread was soft, the burger patty was delicious and the bacon is always better in Europe versus the US. It was cash only, which is fine. The owner is very friendly and it really is like something out of a storybook. For 85p you can have a gold gift box full of sweets or a tin Matryoshka doll full of sweets for £1.75. My three children and I enjoyed breakfast and shared some wonderful desserts. The server was prompt and friendly. The owner came out to chat with us and explained that her dessert recipes had been handed down from her Granny. The Victoria Sponge cake was delicious. We took some cupcakes with us to go. Our only disappointment was that we returned from Orkney at a time that Cups was not open. We would have happily stopped in again! Make the time to stop in and visit Cups if you are headed to Orkney. I got the chicken tikka slice and a cheese and onion sandwich. I thought the cheese and onion sandwich was a better taste and held up more than the chicken tikka slice that I ate when lukewarm. Also picked up water, 2 packs of crisps and a pack of Cadbury buttons chocolate and all this was under 10 pounds, so drove away happy.

We received a bonus sample of the sweet liqueur and that was a nice touch. Our group was the only tour our guide had encountered on Tuesday, march 25. Our guide was very knowledgable and patient as this is our group's first whiskey distillery visit while in Scotland. During the tour we were told not to take any pictures while in the distillery facility and that if you are a tall person (over 6 ft tall) to mind your head. From malting of the barley to the aging cask room....our group had a chance to see production on a small scale. Lots of stairs so if you are looking for a wheelchair accessible tour...there might be parts of the tour the chair will not fit. We met a funny distillery worker named Chris and his accent sounded like an American one and not Scottish...very enthusiastic guy! At the end of tour we all had a taste of whiskey. The 12 year old aged whiskey was smooth, apple aroma with a little bit of spice, low peat flavor. I bought a bottle. The other sampler was a limitedly produced pulteney liqueur, the flavor was slightly sweet and not strong in alcohol. I also bought a bottle of this liqueur as well. Overall 4 stars because we didn't get our -2.50 pound discount on a purchase of a 70cl old pulteney whiskey bottle. Other than that, we really enjoyed the tour and ambience of a small whiskey company where every worker knew each other's names. :-) Visitor centre was nice to look at as well as the its store.

The atmosphere is sort of resort casual with picnic tables and vinyl polka dot table clothes. The bathrooms were old, but clean. The place overlooks the ocean, but takes almost no advantage of this fact. The service seemed to be all friendly, well-trained young people, perfect with the casual atmosphere. The beef was better than anything we would have the right to expect, local, Scottish, butchered down the road. Toasted buns seemed just right, as did the chips, hot and not greasy. Since coffeehouses are not a thing in town, this seems a great place to relax for coffee, until the need for a burger arises. Pro tip: you need to park in the correct place.

We had breakfast here, I had the Floridian and my partner had the Sampler. The crispy bacon is awesome and the whole meal was delicious. But by far the best thing of all was the Pumpkin Pie Milkshake!! Screw Starbucks and their lattés, this shake was AMAZING!!! I'm sure the actual pie is just as good!
