This place was so cute! It's in a shopping center so it doesn't look like much from the outside but when you get inside it's spacious, nicely decorated, and the furniture is really comfortable. I went on a Saturday for girls night with 2 of us. They don't take reservations but you can call ahead and we were seated at the bar right away. We each got a wine flight and ordered the Chefs Board which comes with 3 cheeses, 3 meats & bread/crackers, we also got the soft pretzel bites & olives. It was all fantastic. We went at dinner time and were still a bit hungry so we ordered a second cheese board and all of the food and wine was fantastic. My favorite cheese was the strawberry habanero goat cheese and the chorizo was a favorite as well. The service was quick and friendly as well. Will definitely be back soon. read more

Wine and cheese? Yes please! What a fabulous find! It was right there, all swanky and sensational, at the end of the Big Lots strip mall on Bloomingdale in Brandon.... and now that I've found it, how will I ever stay away? They're going to get so sick of me! I went on a Friday afternoon around 2:30 ( I believe they open at 2). It was oppressively hot and humid outside, while inside it was cool and peaceful-with lots of wood all around-like being in a wine cask! Greeted by the owner, I immediately felt welcome. There are round tables all around with comfy looking chairs, but I was seated at the bar in the back-on the blue velvet barstools. What a perfect place to perch! I had the best servers-who were so friendly and explained everything. You can do cheese boards or charcuterie boards, choosing 3 or 5 items from a fascinating and changing list, or the chef's choice board (also changes-call for the day's selection). I went with the honey drizzled baked brie board, which came with crackers, dried figs, dried apricot, apple slices and pistachios. It was beautifully presented, a great blend of tastes and textures and nicely filling for $14.95. There are also small plates and salads and an intoxicating dessert menu, which I think also rotates (I love it! Each visit will be unique!) Now, to the wine-oh the wine! The list is long and inviting-the best studying ever! I decided to do the "worldly white" flight-which was excellent to my drier/more citrus than sweet palate. I ended up getting a full glass of the Pinot Blanc from France, which was so good-and just enough of a departure from my usual Pinot Grigio/Chardonnay usual. How fun to try something new. The owner was super knowledgable and happy to share insights and make suggestions. I walked out feeling smarter than when I came in. Suddenly, I'm thinking of taking wine courses or trips. Ah, the inspiring grape! (They have beers and ciders, too) (Tip: they sell wine by the bottle. On Wednesday, bottles above $35 are 20% off) I could have happily sipped and nibbled all afternoon. Out for an evening with friends we stopped in after dinner. Great selection of beer and wine. We really enjoyed dessert! We shared the Cannoli Bowl and a Creme Brulee. Both were absolutely fantastic. I must say that I was very impressed with everything. The service, the food, the wine, and the atmosphere. It's a hidden gem just like the Stein & Vine (but even better IMO). It's in the same old strip mall and it's owned by the same couple. I love that this one is more about the wine experience, but they also have craft beers and ciders as well. But, you come here to chill and relax. It's more about appreciating the flavors that they've paired together. They offer suggestions but it's ultimately up to you to decide what you want on your charcuterie board. They have different sizes with the smallest being a choice of 3 cheese and/or meat for $14.95. That's what I decided to get and it's definitely filling for one person especially since a bread basket comes with it. They also pair each selection with an accompaniment (chef's choice of pairings). I ended up getting 2 meats and 1 cheese. I got the bresaola with roasted garlic, the sartori bourbon BellaVitano cheese with smoked onion fig jam, and the varzi Italian salami with marinated olives. They also added some zesty cornichons which are even better than pickles. I originally thought they were sweet gherkins, and I absolutely hate sweet pickles. I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be cornichons. Yeah, I didn't even know what a cornichon was until I asked. They also had a few slices of fresh dill pickle, fresh dill stems, and even some colorful microgreens. The roasted garlic was also a nice touch. The fig and onion jam was a great pairing with the bourbon infused cheese. They also had some gamey meat selections that look interesting to try next time, but I think I have to be in the mood for that kind of exploration. There is also a menu of small plates such as salads, a panini, baked brie, truffle burrata, beef carpaccio, tuna tartar, and so much more. I also loved the wine list. I wanted something sweet & crisp, and I just happened to see the Marquis de Goulaine Vouvray on the list. I'd never had it before, but then again I've never had a bad wine from Loire Valley. It turned out to be perfect with everything that I had. I would get again. I was also very happy with the ricotta-pistachio cake. It was even served with a fresh berry compote. I'm not ashamed to say that I ate everything. Okay, I didn't eat all the cracker sticks but I ate just about all of the bread too. Oh, and the double espresso was Lavazza coffee which I also love. Can I say I was a little surprised that this place exists in Brandon? I felt like I was in Europe for just a little while. Then I walked out into the parking lot which killed the mood. But anyway, I'll be meeting with friends and family here in the near future. I'll also say that it's a great place for business meetings, date night, or just a place to meet up with long lost friends. It was a pleasant surprise and a relaxing experience. I must start by stating this establishment is such a breath of fresh air to a Brandon dining scene that has been plagued with chain restaurants and Datz spin offs. We arrived shortly after opening for a late lunch and were promptly greeted by the owner and her kitchen staff. She was polite, engaging, and knowledgeable about the menu and pairing options. My date ordered a flight of wine while I remained content with water as whisky is not an option at this restaurant. When it came time to order our meal I simply asked her to "make me something beautiful," I feel as if the kitchen surpassed my expectations. My date and I both agreed that the Duck Marmalade featured on the chefs board was one of the best charcuterie meats we have experienced and that the Maytag Blue cheese was also superb. Personally I also was intrigued that the board was decorated with fresh Rosemary and when I questioned the owner about it she stated "it was for decoration, however everything placed on the board is eatable." If I may make a suggestion, don't overlook the maple almonds as they paired well with almost all of the soft cheeses and added a depth of woodsy sweetness. Overall I would give the restaurant a 4/5, I really feel as if the quality of the ingredients speak for themselves but the cost to portion ratio was slightly less than what I had expected. I have had it on my list for quite some time, but last weekend when a friend wanted to get a drink and we wanted to drink close to home we decided to check out this concept by the same owners at Stein & Vine (in the same plaza no less). The outside is nothing to write home about, but once you go inside its a totally different vibe. Cold interior, sleek couches and tabletops with comfortable seating, a bar made out wine crates, it's a little wine paradise in the middle of Brandon and Riverview. Prices are fair too! $12-14 for a tasting of 3 different wines. They also have a wide-variety of wines and it seems like they really know their stuff. There are cheese and meat options as well for those looking to enjoy some bites with their wine. I definitely want to make going here a regular thing and highly recommend it. Super friendly service. I was a little excited when this wine and charcuterie board restaurant opened here. It's located in the same retail plaza as the Stein and Vine restaurant and Big Lots on Bloomingdale Avenue in Brandon, FL. There's plenty of parking. The interior design has a bit of some old school class to it. They have a lot of different options for meats and cheeses, wine and beer, and add-ons on their menu. Walking in on a Wednesday evening, it was already full with people. I was there to check it out and order takeout. The wait staff was very friendly and kept asking me if I was being helped (yes) which was a good sign. The vibe here is cozy and chill. The first thing I ordered from here was the chef's board which involves three chef selected cheeses and three chef selected meats. The proteins came with complimenting condiments and fresh baked bread and crackers. Unfortunately, after driving all the way back home, I noticed that they shorted me one meat (only 2 out of 3). However, the owner was nice enough to comp me for the next board. The owner is really nice and will work with you on issues like that. The next time I went in for my order, I got the "choose three" board. I decided to go with three different meats (as shown in my photos). My favorite was the chorizo with the sweetie drop peppers condiment. I added sliced apples, marinated olives, and cucumbers. My first time at this wine bar and I was pleasantly surprised. While the plaza it is located in, doesn't look very promising, the first impression after walking the door was great. Soft, cozy lighting and the beautiful décor give it a classy and intimate feel. Bin and Board doesn't take reservations, and didn't open until 6 pm Wednesday, we were able to send a message ahead of time and were put on a call ahead list and we didn't have a wait. The bar filled up quickly! The staff was friendly and professional and took their time with us, as it was our first time. The menu boasts a great selection of wine from different regions and countries. I ordered a flight of 3 wines and chose a bottle of my favorite for the night. The menu for the food contains of boards, sandwiches and sides and I picked 3 different dishes. The cheese trio is a lot of bread, but it was delicious. I also enjoyed my caprese salad and my charcuterie board, which had fresh meats and cheeses, jams and some veggies. All in all it was a great first experience and I will definitely go back to enjoy some good wine, charcuterie and a good atmosphere. (Never had a board that I liked every single thing) the bread came out warm and fresh, the veggies were seasoned to perfection, and we had the rattlesnake cheese, beef (forget the fancy name started with a b), and the chorizo. It was my birthday and this place had only been open 3 weeks so I was super excited! You must mask up in order to enter which was totally fine with us. This place has a super chill, laid back vibe. Small tables, comfy chairs. A sofa area with two small tables. A high table table and bigger round table for more than 2-3 ppl. We sat a small table, just my husband and I ..... it was super tiny however we other small tables where the server had pulled up a side cart for extra space. We figured we'd get a side cart as well however we did not so all night we felt as though we had to be extra careful to knock something over. We ordered a few items so the table grew crowded very quickly. That's my ONLY complaint ...... we had no side cart. I ordered the white flight which came with 3 white wines- a vermentino, a Pinot and a Prosecco. All were very good and I ordered another glass of the Pinot. We had salads to start .... I had the Bin + Board salad - which will now be my go to (delish) radicchio, endive, frisée, pistachio, mimosa grapes. Shaves of parm and a vinaigrette dressing. This salad was so tasty! My husband orders the caprese which was also very good. My husband had two glasses of a sweet red .... it was so good I almost ordered one myself but decided no to. After our salads we had our board which consisted of prosciutto, guancaile,sage cheddar, a cured goat cheese and an Asiago. All came paired with jams, mustards and fruits. All just amazing. We then decided to add in sweet coppa and a blueberry vanilla goat cheese. I wasn't a fan of these but they were bad.... I think it was just that everything else on our board wowed me. The board did come with breadsticks, crackers and slices of ciabatta. As far as pricing - I felt it was spot on considering the type of establishment you're in. We ordered quite a bit of food and drinks and it was just under $100 before tip. Not bad at all . The music was a very enjoyable level. We were able to have a conversation and still enjoy the music. I feel it's about time our area receives a place like this. Normally, if we want to just chill and graze we have to drive into Tampa/ Hyde Park to do so. Love this place! It's definitely a hidden gem here in Riverview. The wine list is very extensive and there are lots of options on the build-your-own charcuterie board menu. I usually go for the one flights and then order a glass of my favorite wine. If you aren't into charcuterie boards they also have a great small plates. The entire board was tastefully arranged in a sturdy box. The cheese and meat placements were noted on the lid of the box and their paired accompaniments were individually portioned beside them. Fresh micro-greens and nuts were sprinkled throughout the box. Fresh bread, crackers, and breadsticks were boxed separately. We enjoyed eating everything right out of the boxes! The place we were hoping for was 75 mins! So, I pulled up YELP and started calling around because I'm not familiar with anything in the area. I explained to the host we have 2 kids (8 and 1) and NEEDED food. She let me know that she'd absolutely be willing to accommodate buuuut they didn't have highchairs and weren't typically a kid spot. Given the circumstances, we gladly accepted. When we arrived, she'd set up the perfect spot. The food was good, the atmosphere was great and the staff was so nice.
