We thought to get quotes from all that we could and Juan's card was at our door one day. Juan came out to look at the work we wanted and even came on site afterwards because I had some details that I needed to ask him about that came up with other contractor visits. He beat their prices. As you see in my pictures it was in complete distress. Neighbors were glad to see our eye sore go away and a neighbor a few streets down were so impressed that they hired him to do a wall too. He has done commerical landscaping so he knows what looks good for the budget. We had him: 1. Remove all weeds and a bunch of large stumps. 2. Replace original fence 3. Remove a planter and put concrete so we could park an additional car 4. Build a 2 to 3 tiered wall with drainage. 3 tiers where the slope was the higher. 5. New concrete steps and some other dirt areas with concrete. 6. Level the dirt and lay down enough mulch so weeds don't grow It was a big job and he and his crew did a lot of work in the summer heat. They were professional and courteous. Most of the time it was a crew of 6. They even helped the UPS guy deliver heavy boxes of bookshelves to our front door. If a concern came up Juan called me up and would meet me when I got off work so we could see it and discuss it in person. With a varied slope and angled property, the design of the steps and walls needed a lot of attention. He wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied. He was patient when I had to discuss some decisions with the wife. We will definitely use him again for more landscaping when I save enough money for it. Not only were we satisfied, but our neighbors were as well!

We needed a large magnolia tree trimmed, one smaller tree removed, and branches from the neighbor's tree, which were overhanging the garage, trimmed back. The price was very reasonable, especially when you consider how much work was involved. I called to request an estimate on Tuesday morning and Juan came out that evening. We scheduled the work for 2 days later. Juan did all of the dangerous, high-flying work himself, as well as the dicey cutting around phone and cable wires. I was happy to see he worked safely and was tied in with a rope when cutting the very tall tree out front. They were considerate of my neighbors and conscientious about cleaning up. My patio and carport look better now than when they started! When working in the street they had orange cones out and were quick to clear the sidewalks of branches, which kept the neighborhood walkers and joggers happy. They even tied up the fronds of two small palms I have out front so that they wouldn't be damaged by falling branches. It's something that I certainly didn't think of and I appreciated that kind of attention to detail. I couldn't be happier with Olague Tree Service and will definitely be calling them again. They do landscaping too, so I see a bunch of new plants and an updated front yard in my future.

I'll make this short and sweet…read more They fried my newly planted baby grass and newly seeded lawn. I told the sales rep from day one when we set up the service, the side yard was all dirt and did not need to be treated, along with some other areas not to treat. That I was going to plant grass in the fall when it was cooler and after I had had a chance to prune the trees so there was sufficient sunlight for the grass to grow. Again, told them this day one. That doesn't include the couple of times I spoke to customer service and discussed notes to be left for the technician. They also drove an ATV over my newly seeded baby grass area during their chemical treatment, while it was wet. I was watering the lawn twice a day, and they have left the yard spun out and with ruts, it tore up the grass and the yard. Now they're trying to say that I never told them not to do the side yard, despite the fact that it was dirt and they didn't treat it all summer long. Seriously? It was too hot to plant grass during midsummer, so I planted it during the fall, and their technician actually came to the door and said they didn't want to treat that area because it was bad for the grass, which we already knew but appreciated him pointing it out. Our expectation was that they weren't going to treat it in the first place! Also, a technician treating our lawn informed their sales department that we may need assistance seeding, so they sent us a quote for them to seed the yard. I sent two emails back stating we were going to do it ourselves. Two emails because he sent a second email asking about the quote again. Perhaps if they paid attention a little more closely, this wouldn't have happened. He obviously didn't bother to read the first email I sent, otherwise, why send a second email asking the same questions after I had already declined? Another opportunity where they had the knowledge that we were going to be planting seed and have baby grass. They were perfectly aware of the fact that it was baby grass that can't tolerate that harsh chemical treatment! They themselves came to our door to inform us as I mentioned above. Now, nothing. It's our fault. They're saying that we didn't tell them that information, and they don't have the phone calls recorded to back up the information. How convenient for them! If they record the calls, they should have the calls I had on day one with their sales rep, right? There would be the proof that I told them about that side yard. And again, didn't treat it all summer long, and now they do? That beautiful green baby grass is mostly missing, dead or dying now. Thanks for that, Sharp Lawn Care! Save yourself the frustration and money, and find someone else who isn't going to drop the ball and leave you without a beautiful lawn.

Snow is wet and lane is getting soft, but the moved the 5 to 10 foot drifts clearing the driveway and parking area the best they could considering the soft conditions.
