I walked into Bijouterie Joaillerie HELD with my five-year-old during our day at the Colmar…read moreChristmas markets. The shop looked cute from the outside, with a lot of decent-looking Christmasy things in its windows. I figured it might be a good place to pick up a couple obligatory souvenirs.
The store was small and crowded, like the rest of Colmar on a Saturday in December. It was well stocked with Christmas knick knacks, tons of ornaments and magnets and other seasonal decorations and souvenirs. Some of the stuff was fragile, and a store clerk practically barked at my five-year-old when he dared to pick something up. As if I wouldn't have been on the hook if he'd broken it.
We picked up a magnet and a cute gingerbread man-shaped ornament, both with "Colmar" written on them in big letters. There were probably a hundred places we could've gotten them in town, but we got them here, from the child haters of Bijouterie Joaillerie HELD.
