The two star rating is based on the fact that I simple don't like this type of out let shopping at…read moreall. But there are positive thing to say too. Firstly the outlets are divided into separate buildings, each with their own 'speciality'. This review concerns only one of them. We started on the second floor. This is and area divided into subsections for women, children and men. Everything is put on racks and laid out on tables. I can't see they don't have any nice thing, because they do! It's just that you really need to enjoy this type of shopping or enjoy saving (quite a lot of) money. To find something you like you need to go through all the items in the racks, though somehow the staff manages to keep everything sorted by size and type of clothing (sport, business, casual, etc.). The staff is very friendly and mostly keen to help you out finding something or pointing you in the right direction. There are no single occupancy fitting rooms, but rather cordoned off areas for communal fittings. When you found everything you need it's all put into a big clear plastic bag and sealed at the cash register. So if you plan on shopping big and are by public transport, my advise would be to bring a bag you feel comfortable with walking down the streets and one that's easy to carry. Downstairs the shopping experience changes drastically and it starts to look like you're in a normal store. Even with shop-in-shop concepts. Much more to my personal liking. Downstairs there is also a coffee bar that serves light meals and snacks too. The place is easily reached by S-Bahn (Riem) and a short walk or a very short bus ride. If you don't mind wading through racks and racks and racks to see if there's anything to your liking, this could be something for you! If you like (or need) be watch your spending or simply like to get the most out of your Euro, this could also be the place for you! But if you expect a more "outlet shopping village" USA style, you may be disappointed. I hope you noticed the positive things in this review. It's just not my thing.

Walking around the plaza in Munich, I see gypsy rings that have the concept of stone embedded w/in…read morestone. I saw these same rings in Switzerland years & years ago & I always loved the concept so enter Heiden we do, to check them out My particular favorite was a pale pink jade ring base w/ amethyst cabochon embedded. They also had flat, polished, embedded stone rings as well as their own cases of huge pearls & gold earrings & necklaces We talked about the "embedded rings" for a while & while they did not have the exact ring-stone combo I was looking for, it was nice to get to try them on & talk about options We left Heiden w/ a greater knowledge & their contact info as well if we wanted to have them order a particular combo. Nice!
So last night I was on a mission for a new pair of shoes - and I succeeded! Yay! :-) I actually…read morewas looking for boots and ended up with dress shoes, but hey, I was still happy. In the Olympia Einkaufzentrum (OEZ) there are many shoe stores offering a wide range of prices and qualities. I ended up buying from Tretter though. I was very pleased with the quality they sold. Of course, for such good quality, you definitely pay a bit higher in Munich, but I'm happy to have a lasting shoe even if it means paying a bit more. They have all the shoes grouped according to their size. Which, in practicality, is perfect. Before you fall in love with a shoe, you already know that it's available in your size - prevents unnecessary dissapointment! I also thought the customer service was just great! The ladies weren't hoovering over me, but when I needed the other shoe or had a question about the fit they were more than happy to help, make recommendations and spend the time with me. I will definitely go back to Tretter in OEZ. If a friend is looking for good quality shoes, I would definitely recommend Tretter!
Window shopping on a rainy Munich day, we happened by Ralf Nutt…read more I remember lots of beautiful sapphires & peridots for the eye to behold & you can also find the whimsical gold Bavarian Pretzels charms as offerings as well What caught my attention however was a lovely deep green Peridot Ring! This ring had a large marquis peridot that was turned sideways & embedded in white & yellow gold. The sides of the mounting had diamonds going along the sides & while this ring was beautiful in the window, it was absolutely exquisite on the hand Unfortunately it was much pricier than I was hoping to see, so we had to pass - but all the shops in this area of Munich were pretty price-inflated as well so know this going in & you won't be shocked.....& if you can afford it, the quality here & the designs are topnotch Plus the person assisting us ( I believe he was the owner ) went above & beyond - he even gave us his personal contact info & let us know if we decided to move forward w/ our purchase we could contact him anytime & he would be happy to meet us. I wish we could have!
I saw a pair of men's Saint Laurent sunglasses (SL 51T) I liked on Nordstrom.com during the summer…read more Since I had a trip planned Oktoberfest in Munich, I decided to reach out to the Munich store for its availability. Vishan responded back that the store had a pair and will hold it for a month until my arrival. Fast forward to the Monday after the opening weekend of Oktoberfest. I could barely get myself out my hotel room in the afternoon, let alone wait 45 minutes at Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap for their Kebap. After my snack, I walked through the Marienplatz + Viktualienmarkt for another 10 minutes before I arrived at the store. All the sales associates were busy with customers however security and one of the associates acknowledged me when I walked in. I walked around the store for 10 minutes before a sales associate was free. One of the sales associate tried looking for my shades however was not able to located it. Then Vishan who I was in contact with back in August greeted me and looked in the stockroom for the sunglasses. He wasn't able to locate the specific sunglasses however he was able to to show me another option that was 100 euros less and fitted since I have a wide head. He then offered me a water which he probably saw I needed after the weekend. I was hoping to be offered champagne like the Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris however I think it was a good thing. Vishan was patient while I tried the other colors of that sunglasses. With his consultation, I ended up with the SL28 metal. He processed my sale and also did the necessary paperwork along with giving me a pass for the Global Blue lounge down the block. I had a good experience at the store and was able to save some a hundred euro or two for a pair of quality sunglasses.

With stores in Munich and New York this is a premium shop with top quality material and design. Everything is made in Munich and that is great. I hate fashion labels that are made in cheap labour countries and charge an absolute fortune for it. They do take orders and can make you some stuff to order or sized slightly different to what's on the rack. They have quite the choice of evening wear and not a bad option if you have a glamorous evening coming up and want to look chic and trendy. It's German design without being too German in its look. You have to go there to see what I mean.
