Solid place to see a movie, if you happen to be in there area. This is probably compounded by the fact that this is really the only place to see a movie unless you're planning on taking a good long drive. Two (smallish) screens - but the place is keept clean and the prices are certainly reasonable. My only real complaint is that they don't accept cards of anykind - it's the 21st century dude - this is how we conduct commerce! read more

Two screens of Hollywood excess in Dillon, Montana! We end up coming to the movies most times we come up to Montana, and Big Sky Cinema I&II is where we usual come. The prices are reasonable, and the service is friendly. They do take cards now, which was a pleasant surprise after many years of cash or check. They aren't 3-D, they don't have megaseat-shaking surround sound, but they show new movies in a pleasant atmosphere, and do a good job of running appealing movies. Warning, there can be a bottleneck at the entrance as people are getting their tickets, but they have a second concessionaire to get you popcorn and snacks while the first does tickets. Don't get all wound up about waiting in line, talk to your friends, play a game on your phone, and get ready to watch the movie! read more

This is a great little theater with reasonable prices. The matinees make it possible to see a movie for a few bucks and generally will be less than 20 people on a weekday even with new releases. read more

Silver Bow Drive-In

I really enjoyed the SilverBow Drive-In! We drove from Missoula and saw Baywatch…read more It's just like you imagine a drive-in theater to be like - cars park in rows and you turn your radio tuner to the right station and you're ready to go! It's six dollars a person, which I felt was a great deal. I'd definitely recommend you try this place out if you're after a low key movie night!

Went here and had a good start. Me and my friend came here, got into a movie, found out parking…read morespot, and got snacks. We are setting up in my truck and was trying to figure out the radio. That is when some kid on a scooter came and started harassing us about my AUTOMATIC truck light (in the bed on the truck only) being on while he can actively see we are trying to figure out the radio. About 2 minutes later he came back, as we were waiting for the automatic lights to turn off, and started harassing us further. Almost yelling at us practically to turn them off when the previews were still on and no other light was on. Many other people had their actual headlights and taillights on, while we had one small light above the truck bed which was about to turn off automatically. Overall, we felt targeted and harassed, and will not be back. Note ( as we were leaving early, many others had a truck bed light on, without confrontation)

Dillon, Montana…read more Montana has the second lowest humans per size in America, maybe third behind Wyoming. Making the assumption that Montana is similar in various aspects is incorrect. We can generalize such as peoples living in the Plains (East), High Desert (South), Mountains (North), etc. This museum provides the lifestyles of First Nationals (aka Native Americans/Indians) and pioneers from yesteryears around the Beaverhead County region. The museum showcases rail, mining, lifestyle, nature, businesses, local figures, etc. Good for kids with plenty space to run amock and you don't have to worry about crazy people running the kids or animals over. I did see what appears to be younger vagrants, but unsure if that hobo look is a cultural fashion statement for millenials in the region. Access/Roads: A Dillion is a civilized town w/ pavement. Super slow speed limit. Avg is 25 mph w/ visible constables (cops) everywhere. Parking: A Plenty street parking. Small town so it's not busy. Distance: F It's Montana. Pretty much F all over. Stuff is scattered. Located off I-15 in the puny town called Dillon. Butte, MT - 65 Miles North. Idaho Falls, ID - 142 Miles South Los Angeles, CA - Appx 1,000 Miles Away. Costs: Unknown Museum was closed when I visited. However, the majority is outdoors and I just walked around. Nearby Attractions: Nothing. I mean... There are some, but, it's a niche attraction for historians. Will add to my blog if I ever get around to it. Nature-wise - This is Montana~! Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and related activities are relatively close by. Butte & Deer Lodge has several museums and historical things. Small, wooden based towns are everywhere like Anaconda or Wisdom. Conclusion: Travel safely. Low speed limit in Dillon. Plenty gas, food, restaurants, micro-breweries, etc. Dillon is home to the University of Western Montana so there is stuff. @cigarcpa https://www.facebook.com/SiRTurbo/media_set?set=a.10157272657352324&type=3 for pics www.cleeshyun.com
