The eldest son of the Unel family, Recep, who started to live in Berlin, plays the guitar, writes notes for the lyrics, deals with composite music and also works in an accounting company. Australian Jackquelin, who was a student at the time, is both working and traveling in Europe with the Work and Travel system. The meeting of these two young people takes place in 2013. Jackquelin, who missed the train back home, and Jackquelin, who returned with a job interview postponed, meet and meet on the streets of Berlin. After a while, Jackquelin returns to Australia, and Recep ends up in Sydney after him. That's the way to go... The couple's togetherness turns into love over the years. They decide to get married in 2020, but this time their wedding does not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic in the world. Jackquelin describes their meeting on her social media account as follows: "Eight years ago, I met this beautiful man by chance on the busy streets of Berlin. If he hadn't missed the train ride home from work that day and my job interview hadn't been cancelled, we would never have met."
As a result of the loosening of the measures, the first wedding took place in Narrabeeen near Sydney in February 2022, and the second wedding took place in Ibriktepe town of Ipsala in July 2022. The wedding, which was watched with interest in İbriktepe, was held according to Turkish traditions. To the wedding in İbriktepe; Father-in-law Brad Hampson, who was the warehouse manager, and mother-in-law Catherine Hampson attended. The couple, who spent their first honeymoon in Australia and the second in Turkey, returned to Australia. Hampson and Ünel families also visited the monuments related to the Dardanelles Wars in Australia and the Historical Gallipoli Peninsula and Cappadocia region in Turkey.
Recep Ünel is still involved in music and also works in an advertising company. Jackquelin teaches science at the school she graduated from. Stating that he was happy to have an Australian bride, father Ünal Ünel stated that he was sad because the distance between Germany and Australia was so far and that he could see his son and his bride several times a year. I wanted to learn guitar, it didn't work, I couldn't. I made an effort to go to Australia, it didn't work again. Separation and longing are hard, but what can you do?
