I planned to give some friends a framed photograph before I had to return to the U.S. and because…read morethey were moving to Spain and I would not see them again. On the recommendation of a local photographer, I traveled about 25 blocks from my house to bring my digital file to Megaphoto to be printed and framed. The guy downloaded the file from my thumb drive. Then I selected a frame and mat board. (The selection of frames extremely limited). He took my name and cell phone number and gave me a date when it would be ready. Ten days later! I appeared on that date, but another person said that it wasn't ready yet and asked me to return two days later. I returned two days later, which was just in time because I was departing the next day and had made plans with my friends for dinner, where I planned to surprise them with the gift. The clerk went to the back of the shop and returned with an unframed print. I was astonished that after almost two weeks they didn't frame it. The clerk said that they didn't have that frame available any more.
1. Didn't know to tell me that the frame I selected wasn't available. So why do they present it as a choice?
2. Didn't call me to inform me that the frame I selected was not available.
3. Didn't call me to say it would not be ready on the date promised.
4. Didn't tell me, when I came to pick up my order, that they didn't have the frame. Instead, told me that my order would be ready in two days. (No apology.)
I do not recommend Megaphoto at all. This operation is laughable.
Meanwhile, I arrived at dinner at my friend's house with the intended gift. Instead, a bottle of wine and some flowers to bid them farewell. Fortunately, once I was back in the U.S. I simply went on line, uploaded my image to Pixels, picked a frame and mat, and 6 days later received an email from my friends thanking me for the gift.
