Just go to Menards! I have been buying wood and supplies for years from them and they deliver and been pretty good for the most part. Ordered some wood to rehab an old picinic table and wtf! I needed 9 pieces of 2x6x6 and some 2x4's. Delivery was great and fast paid more than big box store but delivery was worth it. Checked wood when it came and my 6' boards were long and short up to an inch. I asked delivery guys if it could be discounted due to the fact I would have to cut everything short and do all the work I paid for. They were agreeable and thought it was fair and had to talk to manager Jason and I would get a call later that day... no call so I called. Jason should not be a manager and his customer service was absolutely unacceptable. He said he couldn't do anything and would not recut the wood and deliver. Then he offered to deliver wood but I would have to cut it all cause he refused to cut. They are a lumber yard that's what they do. He then was condescending and rude so I asked to speak to the GM. He got back in the phone and said he was the manager? I said I just want a refund and I'll go to Menards and cut myself. He hung up and said fine. I will never go there again out of principal. I try to support local businesses but in this instance not worth my time or aggravation to pay more. Save money and time and go anywhere else. Not sure other locations but Jason does not know how to deal with customers and lost me now for life! read more
