This is a solid little low key sushi spot. Nothing fancy, definitely for locals. Good salmon sashimi, in particular.

Sitting steps from the ocean with the breeze coming in creates a great atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We had grilled steak served on a hot plate with roasted tomatoes and grilled cheese, which was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. The baked dish with melted cheese and seafood was also excellent and rich. Everything felt fresh and well prepared. The drinks were also well done. The cocktail was refreshing and nicely presented. Service was a little slow at times, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made up for the pace. Overall this is a great spot if you want excellent food in a beautiful beachfront setting. Definitely worth a visit when you are in Balneário Camboriú.

They serve a vast selection of meats which are for 2 people. You then choose a salad from 4-6 selections. Then a type of rice from 4 selections. Then a type of potato from 6-8 selections and finally the type of farofa. They had a special of Wagyu beef when we went there. They tried to pass it off as Kobe beef but it was definitely not from Japan nor did it have the grading system of Kobe beef from Japan. That being said, I wanted my girlfriend to finally try some Wagyu so we ordered it medium rare. The beef was cooked correctly and was really soft. My girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. The salad that we ordered was light on the dressing and didn't really have any flavor to it. The garlic rice that was got was very good. The only problem is that in Brazil, they love to overload the plates with the fried garlic pieces which provide a crunch to the texture. I absolutely love it but the toilet doesn't later on. For the potato, we opted to pay a little bit extra for the onion rings instead. The breading was very good on the onion rings and the actual pieces of onions were gigantic. We literally arrived for dinner once the restaurant opened and by the time we left around 8, it was completely packed. I would suggest making a reservation here if you want to come later on.

You can order your food and go check out the goods and food on the shelves while you re waiting for your food. The food itself was mixed. The risottos were both excellent (mushroom and salmon) but the salmon filet was far too cooked. We got bruschetta for appetizer which was a nice start to the meal. At the end, we tried their ice cream: ypy. We have not found them in any other restaurant to date! Overall, I give them four star because the concept was original and the risottos really yummy, but do not venture into trying the salmon filet, you will be very disappointed.

The parking alone is a huge perk and was the decisive point for us, since pretty much all restaurants in the area do not have parking. Our server Amilton was good. We had the "Congrio à Fiorentina" for two, which costed about 140 reais and was more than enough food for two average adults. It wasn't cheap, but it was within the prices charged by other similar places in Florianópolis. Overall I had a good experience I would eat here again.

From the beach at Barra da Lagoa. take the pedestrian bridge across the river and continue up the walkway a few hundred meters or so and you can't miss it. First off, if you can get a table upstairs, the view is definitely worth it. I arrived right at sunset and now understand why the restaurant is where it is. The view of the setting sun over the Barra da Lagoa beach is quite impressive. I happened upon this restaurant in the middle of winter, and it was almost empty. The waiter said that it does have a large lunch crowd on weekends, and is completely full every day in the summer . I really enjoyed the music selection and the waiter was gracious enough to tell me a bit about some of the Brazilian groups they played. They serve seafood, chicken and various steaks. I had the garlic shrimp appetizer and it was amazing. The grilled chicken (served with Brazilian standard sides rice, black beans and fries) was forgettable: not great, but not bad either. Overall, it's definitely worth taking the road less traveled to get there.
