Went to a jeweler in Barnegat with 4 repairs, 3 bracelets, 1 chain. Needed 2 clasps, 1 jump ring, & 1 solder job. The woman who worked there literally said silver for each piece. Everything was gold. This particular jeweler takes your stuff & calls in a day or 2 with the cost. Ok. They quoted me $210. Wanted $79 to laser weld 1 bracelet & at least double retail for clasps. Picked my stuff up within 30 minutes. Went to Biele's next. saleswoman was courteous & professional. Able to tell me prices right then & there. I added in an ankle chain to be cut into a bracelet. Half the price of the first place. Items ready in 2 days. Absolutely perfect work. I louped the solder job & it's very hard to spot where it was soldered. I'm very picky. Owned a jewelry shop for 20 years on west coast. I know how much it costs them to do the repair & their prices are not high. Gold clasps (known as findings) are ridiculously overpriced by manufacturers. Biele's is not charging a lot. I highly recommend Biele Jewelers. read more

My husband bought my engagement ring and wedding band at this jeweler and had a wonderful experience. A month after purchase my diamond fell out of my engagement ring. Since then I bring my ring in to be tightened and steam cleaned. Something they said would be free for as long as I have the ring since it was purchased there. I have never had an issue with that until today. I called prior to my arrival and spoke to the jeweler who is always very helpful. When I arrived a half hour later I was greeted harshly by "Gerri" she was abrupt with me and told me it would be 18$ to have it cleaned. I reiterated that I would like it tightened and steamed. She came back at me with an attitude and told me that "they have decided awhile ago to charge to have the ring tightened and that steam will be free." Meanwhile, I have brought my ring in every couple of months and never had an issue. I've also never seen her in there before. I asked her name and she told me her mother is Kathy and pointed at her. I'm assuming Kathy is the owner, even though I've never met her either. Either way the blatant disrespect and lack of customer service is appalling. Especially considering my husband has spent well over 10,000$ in their business. I'm disgusted. read more

I went to a jeweler in Bayville a few months ago. I don't know how many jewelers are in Berkeley Twp. I needed a link taken out of my watchband. The guy put up quite a fuss saying that he doesn't give his time for free and how he is in businesswas to make money. He fixed it and charged me $10 for 2 minutes which I was prepared to pay. I just found his attitude a bit rude. Well, the link came out and I went back again and this time he just bellowing like an old moose about how his time is worth money. He didn't charge me again but I never forgot the rudeness. I have told some of my friends to stay away from there. I recently took it to Biele jewelers. The lady there was sweet and friendly. In about three minutes she fixed it and with a smile said it was a "goodwill gesture" and no charge, So I have sent people there. My son isgetting engaged and he remembered what I told him about my experience. He purchased a very expensive engagement ring at Biele in Forked River. He was delighted with how awesome the lady was. I assume it's the same lady. I highly recommend Biele if you want a pleasant transaction. My compliments to Biele. The Chinese have an old proverb that applies to business. Sorry! I can write in Chinese (LOL) but it is translated, "Make friends first and then do business." I don't have any connectionwith Biele and am 78 years old so I probably won't be a customer. I liked this place. I haven't bought anything from there but I did have my fiances ring engraved by them. By far the cheapest I could find. Other places wanted 4-5 dollars a letter! They changed a flat rate of $20, for whatever they can fit on the band and they do it right there at the store. The girl who helped me was very nice, but it took a while for anyone to help me. My now husband and I had the pleasure of buying not just my engagement ring, but our wedding bands too from Biele Jewelers. Mrs. Biele is a wonderful lady who treated us like family and John Liga did an amazing job at helping my husband find an affordable, yet gorgeous engagement ring, and later helped us both pick out our wedding bands. The selection was pretty impressive and affordable (we're from NY). The turnaround time was also very quick and the presentation in which our wedding bands were furnished was just beautiful. We are very happy with the service we received and will definitely be going back when in the area of Forked River. We highly recommend them. My husband also bought me from there a beautiful little sterling silver necklace especially engraved on the back with a wolf in the front, for our 1 year anniversary of dating present. What terrible people that run this place. Absoulte worst business I have ever been to in my entire life. If you want to get treated like trash and be lied to go here. The website is very decietful. They tell you to go to the website and pick out a ring with a price. Once my mother went there to put my diamond into their setting they never told her a price, even though she asked multiple times what the price would be they would say oh we'll deal with that at the end. Why wouldn't they tell us a price if they knew the price? Because they're sleezy. After we went on their website a picked out a ring which shows a diamond in the picture with the setting, anyone would think the diamond would be included in the price. That's what's shown so why wouldn't it be the price with the diamond. My mother went and placed a special order of the setting leaving a $500 deposit. My mom asks if it is less than $500 will it be given back to me. The horrible saleswoman says "oh of course!". Why would a salesperson with such experience say that if the ring was going to cost more? My mother goes in with my grandmothers engagement ring,which is my engagement ring, and still not telling my mom the price when she asked they take my ring, break it because at this point it's their ring and put the diamond in the new setting taking about 20 minutes. Once the diamond is in they charge us 2100$. This price was NEVER given to us, they totally deceived us. Not wanting to spend that much money my mom said we can't pay that pleas dismantle the ring. Now my grandmothers engagement ring is broken so the jeweler can't put it back in. They then charged us $150.00 for the dismantle. So after being sleezy and decieteful we were charged money for a broken ring. Luckily we went to a nice jeweler who happened to be her son, he did not overcharge and he fixed my ring, even saying he did not do business the way biele jewelers did. What an upsetting experience for a moment that is suppose to be special. These people do not deserve any business read more
