I stopped here early in the morning before a day of business meetings in Ozark, Alabama and found this the perfect setting to walk and cleanse my soul and mind in preparation for the day. To walk through these woods and to stare out upon the lake, it is easy to forget that civilization is just up the road a ways, that you are mere minutes from the hustle and bustle if everyday life. Every time that I am up in Ozark, I try to find my way here. This park is one of the places that lingers within your soul long after you leave and makes you appreciate the sheer majesty of nature and of the gift of life.

The highlight of the park is definitely the two pools filled with crisp and cool spring water. It took my breath away when I jumped in. I had tried easing my way in down one of the sets of concrete stair and that wasnt happening. The water was clear. There are picnic tables scattered all around the pools. The bottom of the pools are sandy, but not too mushy. I was glad that I wore my aqua shoes. I didnt see any glass but there are a few big rocks in both of the pools. The pools spill out into the river. You can go in both but I had the feeling the river was going to have snakes, so I stayed away from that. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Good fields one of my siblings come here they have a small variety of food in their consession…read morestand and they have good quality fields and well hosted tournaments.But one time when there was really bad weather and teams were there we had to go in a tall building with no basements in a lot of windows nobody was harmed but they really need to build a storm shelter that can fit a lot of people.And the dugouts are very clean the teammates help pick it up.

This collection of trails is another prime example of humans and nature working together to create…read moresomething nice. The trails are fairly well maintained and marked. It is fairly flat, but has a few small bumps and hills. On my visits it has been quiet and calm. I saw some fish, a turtle, frogs, and a range of birds and squirrels. I really enjoyed it. I also noticed just a small amount of trash, which is still too much in a place this natural. There is a small pump track for bmx and mountain bikes. They also have a small bike station to work on your bike if you need to including a hand air pump. That is a huge plus! The parking lot is unclear and dirt. I just pulled to the end and out of the way. There are other access points, but I've not been to them yet. I would definitely recommend this park if you are in the Dothan area.
