Got the combo plate with 1 meat (baby back ribs) and 2 sides (mac & cheese, potato salad). Good meal. The mac and cheese I believe uses a mild cheese. The potato salad was minimally seasoned but that made the potatoes the hero. The baby back ribs were seasoned well and you can definitely taste the smoky flavor. The BBQ sauces available were hot and regular. Surprisingly, the hot sauce was not that hot. It did have some mild acidity. The regular sauce was the perfect complement for the ribs. It had the right amount of tanginess. The toasted buns were also very good. Service was extremely friendly. Parking is available in the lot next to the restaurant.

Bibs Ribs is really good smoked BBQ. They take pride in the quality of meat and their customer service. My wife and I shared the 3 meat with 4 side option. brisket was tender. Baby back ribs were great. Pulled pork had great flavor. All the meat is smoked and they use minimum sauce which is what we like. The sides (potato salad, mac salad, beans, and mac-n-cheese) all tasted great! Whittier Blvd is a busy street so parking could be a challenge. We went on a mid-Saturday afternoon and were able to find parking in the lot but if you're not familiar with the area, you'll miss it and might have to go around the block to find the entrance. We're definitely coming back.

This food was perfection! I make great baby backs and brisket. My father makes even better BBQ than myself. We have not made it or eaten in a good while. So, on Yelp ratings, we decided to give this place a try and OH.MY.GOD! It was amazingly good. We got there around 2ish... it was not crowded or loud. The owner, I assume, did it all: he took the order, served us and cooked the meats. He was great! He had good vibes and smell emitting from the front and back made my dad and I hopeful. We'll, it did not disappoint. I had the brisket and tri-tip and my dad had the baby backs. The meats melted in your mouth. No knife necessary. I can't wait to return! I hope this place sticks around because it is amazing!

I ordered the 2 Meat combo with Baby Back Ribs, Brisket, Mac n Cheese and Macaroni Salad It took about 25 minutes to get my food with only two other customers in the restaurant, they get a lot of phone orders so just know to be patient. With all the items except the ribs I wish they came out hotter but let's continue with the review - The Brisket was nice and tender, I feel if it was hotter my review on it would be better but it was still very good. They gave a generous amount of meat and the bbq sauce was very tasty. I would recommend it The Baby Back Ribs are a MUST order, it was very good, fell off the bone and melt in your mouth. I would definitely recommend to order this, if you like a lot of sauce I would ask for extra. The Mac and Cheese was also very good, if it was hotter it could be one of the best Mac and Cheeses I've ever had. I would recommend this for your side The Macaroni salad was very good as well, you can tell they definitely focus on their sides and don't make it as an afterthought. Overall, I highly recommend even if it's out of your way. Its prices are very competitive for what you get and it's locally owned which I always recommend to support. The ambiance is really casual, more of a grab and go place, the staff were very friendly. I will definitely be back.

My friend from Whittier is also showing me best local spots like El Atacor (we've been going there so often for the past 3 months that it's not even funny) and the discount store across the street that he introduced to me a couple of weeks ago. The interior has some cool decorations, and I swear it felt so cozy like you're stepping inside someone's house. There is definitely love and care put into preparing the food they serve here, as they separately package all of the sides. I tried the brisket, tri-tip, mac and cheese, cole slaw, and BBQ beans. It was my first time trying beans in such a sweet sauce like that. I thoroughly enjoyed everything, although some cuts of the meats were definitely more tender than others. It's a local gem I otherwise would not have discovered and definitely worth visiting if you happen to be in the area.

My partner wanted to eat BBQ for his birthday and we found this spot. We traveled all the way from South Bay to this local spot to try it out. The owner greeted us gave us some suggestions. My partner doesn't eat pork so we ended up trying all of the beef options offered. We got the 3 meat plate - beef brisket, tri-tip, and ribs. The ribs were amazing!!!!!! It was a bit pully but overall the flavor, smoke, and tenderness was there. The tri tip was my least favorite perhaps bc of the fat / meat ratio but still flavorful. The sides I'm ranking from greatest to good lol. The cloleslaw was AMAZING, if you like runny sauce this is for you. Then it was the macaroni salad, again runny but good. The mac and cheese and potato salad were my least favorite (still a solid 8) but the coleslaw and mac salad were my fav!! The portions and reasonable for the price. The ambiance give you a local feel with the right hospitality. We got a rack of ribs to go to enjoy. Definitely worth the drive over. Shoutout to Manny the owner keep smoking bro!

Upon walking in, you'll be hit w the tantalizing aroma of smoked meat!! It already smelled delicious inside!! The place is small, quaint, and clean. It took me a minute to understand the menu and decided on Combo 3 for $45. The prices are very reasonable and competitive. We chose beef ribs, brisket, and tri-tip. For our 4 sides, we chose potato salad, macaroni salad, mac n cheese, and smoked beans. When the food arrived, we were super impressed as this was a lot of food even for 3 people (my 2 kids and myself). The meats were deliciously well-seasoned, smoked to perfection, tender, and juicy. The sides were all bomb! I had ordered more smoked beans since my daughter really liked it. Service was stellar! The owner, Manny is super friendly and kept coming back to check on us to see if we needed anything and also asked how we liked the food. We love it and will absolutely come back here for more of this yumminess!! Come try them out and support local businesses!!

My husband and I came here this evening and just finished our takeout order--and wow, I'm blown away. We got the 3-meat, 4-side dinner for two, and it was easily the best BBQ I've had in California in years. I will definitely be coming back often. Everything was so good that once we started eating, we literally could not stop. My husband and I found Bib's on Yelp. I was in the mood for BBQ, and we really enjoyed our meal. They ran out of baby backs, chicken and brisket but we chose Combo #2 Two Meats and 3 Sides. Excellent, excellent , excellent food! Did I say EXCELLENT? Can't rave enough about all their options. We had brisket, baby back ribs, beef ribs, and kielbasa links. As sides, we had the macaroni salad, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and beans. The order also came with garlic bread. Most definitely the best BBQ and sides we have ever had! Other big chains do not compare! I went to Yelp for help in finding a bbq spot close by. The setup in the restaurant feels clean, cozy and comfortable. A few other customers were there to order takeout as well. I believe the owner helped with my order. He's a very nice person. He interacts with his customers and makes sure to make them feel welcome. I feel fortunate that we found this gem and this will definitely be our go-to when we think about BBQ. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this BBQ spot. Wishing them much success!!!! read more

Everything was amazing in this place. Now I see why it's a 5* should be able to put it more stars allowed. Owner is terrific dude, you can tell the difference In his style. His is west coast food. Rather than Texas BBQ. Guaranteed coming here again again and again. Very home style atmosphere food is terrific. From the sides all the way to the meats. I will ne recommending more people to come and eat here. Been to all the other spots. None of them are as good as this place. And it's in Whittier. So not a far drive. BOTTOM LINE: Definitely check out this rib joint BIB'S RIBS in Whittier. The food was amazing, the service was great and the prices were on point for good quality BBQ. PROs: This place is simple, no bs, great barbecue. It is obvious that the owner uses select pieces of meat and quality ingredients for the sides. We selected the 3 meat + 4 sides combo. We tried the brisket (DELICIOUS), chicken (MOIST & FLAVORFUL), and kielbasa link (ON POINT). We also had the Mac and cheese (TASTY), macaroni salad (VERY GOOD), and 2 orders of smoked beans (AWESOME). The meal came with 4 rolls and 2 soft drinks. We actually had enough food to enjoy the next day for lunch. The price will seem high to some, but keep in mind the quality of the meats and ingredients and the time to prepare good food. Packaging for take out was great; no leaks...but the wonderful aroma will make you hungry on your drive home CONs: None PRO TIP: Because the owner cooks everything fresh and their take out is very popular, they may run out of items; call ahead if you have a taste for something specific and to place your order if you plan to take out. Did I say that I liked this rib joint? I made a grave mistake... I LOVE this rib place. I went back for the third time in the last few months and it just never disappoints. The beef ribs are all I will eat but I see everybody ordering brisket. Those Noveau rich who want to order brisket can eat cake. His beef ribs are the Rolls-Royce on this menu in my opinion. The Lamborghini and Porsche 911 S turbo are the mac & cheese and potato salad sides . I used to always say for my last meal while on death row I would want a big Carne asada burrito with lots of red chili from King taco (before their meat quality greasily slid downhill) and a strawberry shake. Mostly because if I were on death row I would want whoever was transporting/cutting up my corpse to have a fun cleanup job. ..as a last goodbye hurrah. I digress. That has changed. Now that I feel philanthropic I feel I should give the hosts of my post life vessel a positive message of the greatest ribs around! I found another cool spot to get my bar bq fix., It's a mom and pop bar bq spot servicing some delicious and tender bar bq. The portions of the food are generous, I had a brisket (japanese style) and the baby back ribs. Both meats were juicy and tender, the baby back ribs' meat just came off the bone. The bar bq sauce was on point with a good flavor and aroma. The owners of restaurant are very friendly and I can tell they have a passion for their bar bq by making sure that their bar bq satisfied your bar bq fix. Yes, they satisfied my fix. Thank you. I tell you, this is THE best American bbq I have ever tried in my life! The quality of the meats to the quality and the flavors are on point. Once you come in you are greeted with a big smoker bursting with flavorful smoky bbq smell. Once you enter, you order your food at the register and they bring you your food.
