A nice selection of quality coffees, teas and smoothies in addition to a lovingly curated library of independent press, comics, children's books and tourist guides. The attention to detail is welcome and most likely guarantees a dedicated following. Popular spot for students, journal writers, bookish moms, and anyone seeking a quiet nook to while away an afternoon. I'm looking forward to attending some of the upcoming events that some of the other Yelpers have mentioned, but there is no information currently on Le Tasse livre's website.

But... ...dysfunctional wifi?! They have it, but it doesn't seem to work! I wanted to stay all afternoon, but it would have been really difficult to get any work done with no wifi. There's not even any cell reception! (Not with free, anyway). I wanted to love it, but the wifi situation bummed me out pretty severely. I am lucky…read moreand take classes in their beautiful building right on the quais - which has a lot of perks - first off - it means a wonderfully pleasant bike ride on the path on the river to and from class, secondly, the buildings are just so historic and grand. I find the professors to be, for the most part, quite helpful and interesting. The library can get a bit busy but I do appreciate the facilities and internet. On the other hand, for anyone coming from an American university, the administrative red tape and lack of organization can be quite, quite frustrating, but that is something that seems to be common in most French universities and just takes some getting used to, I suppose.
