Who said size matters? This little library right accross the street from Konstakademiet och Telefonplans metro station is a great place to go get something good to read.
The selection of books is very good, despite the smallness of the library. Lots of literature concerning art. Also some books in English and Arabic, for instance. In addition, there are all kinds of events organized at the library - check their facebook page for updates!
There is a relatively large area dedicated to kids. If the children's books are read too loudly, there is a separate room where you can focus into magazines or do schoolwork in silence. Also some reading corners with cozy armchairs. Interior is basic, nothing too fancy but clean and nice anyway. No charge for the use of toilet (not a self-evidence in Stockholm!) Staff is friendly.
Library card is free of charge. Opening hours are not too wide, but when you apply for the library card, you can sign a contract that gives you access to library every day from 8am to 9pm! Such a great thing!
In conclusion: a compact library, functions well! read more
