They claimed it was never canceled and illegally kept charging us for insurance even though we had other coverage. I had a feeling when we first met them there was a scam brewing. I am going to share the scams with our local network as well as the BBB and the chambers in the area. Good people out there should know they can cancel the AM fam policy and always get a better rate and better coverage in every case. We have had Farmers Insurance with Dominic Minniti on our Woodstock home for about 10 years. In all…read morethat time, they took our money, raised our premiums, and we never filed a claim until this year after a bad storm damaged our roof. We had a Better Business Bureau A+ rated roofer look at it, and he said the wind and hail damage was extensive and affected almost half the roof. This is something I have pictures of. I filed a claim with Farmers. Their adjuster said the SMALL amount of damage totaled only $600 and that with our deductible, we would not receive anything!! According to the roofer, it was NOT a small amount of damage! When we tried to have the roof repaired, we were told the roof could not be repaired because it had organic shingles, which were no longer being made. Our only choice was to replace the whole roof, which cost us $9000. Farmers insured our roof and then refused to help us when we couldn't repair it. They screwed us royally even though they should have replaced the entire roof since we were not able to get the same shingles to repair it. We have paid our insurance premiums in good faith all these years only to be left holding the bag when something happened. At the very least, our agent Dominic Minniti should have gone to bat for us! Typical Farmers insurance company - take your money year after year and then find ways not to pay a claim. If we weren't selling the house soon, we would be shopping for other insurance immediately. We will NEVER have Farmers Insurance again, nor will we recommend them to anyone. I will post bad reviews all over the internet to make sure people are aware of what they are getting into with this company. If you sign up with them, you better hope something doesn't happen. You cannot trust Farmers!!!

I, like many others in the area, received hail & wind damage to my home & roof in the spring of 2013. The claim was denied because the claim adjustor said my damage was pre-existing. I have an 8 year old roof & have been insured for 20 years with the same agent, How can this be pre-existing!? So, I proceeded to shop for new insurance because of the horrible claim experience with State Farm. I was referred to call Steve by a close friend of mine. Steve came to my home & met with myself & my wife & gave us a free financial review to determine what type & how much coverage we need. I was disapointed that after 20 years with State Farm my agent never once discussed how much coverage I needed & never once reviewed my policies with me. Steve was so thoughtful, friendly & informatative, I was beyond impressed with his knowledge & his willingness to help us get properly protected. When we met with Steve the second time, again at our home, he reviewed the quotes & explained what amount of coverage was recommended & why. I found that State Farm had not provided enough liability coverage in case I were to be sued, I would have lost everything my wife & I worked for. Country Financial's premiums were significanltly lower than I was paying with State Farm & they were providing me TRIPLE the liability coverage, unbelievable! I have now been with Steve Bouschard & Country Financial for one year & now I am convinced I have the right amount of protection for my family & I sleep MUCH better at night now. Steve & the staff at the Woodstock office are friendly, patient, knowledgable, prompt & have excellent customer service skills. I have referred Steve to everybody I know & would recommend that anybody shopping for insurance to contact this man, you will not be disapointed. Now I know what satisafaction really feels like, thank you Steve & staff.
