    I was a long term renter, having rented the same home for over 9 years. AG took over management of…read morethe property roughly two years ago. The house was over 100 years old and needed maintenance pretty regularly. For small repairs, AG was very responsive. But recently some larger things began to go wrong and the response was essentially zero. In March, I began to see wildlife, including stray cats, in my basement. After looking around the perimeter, i found that the foundation was beginning to collapse. AG sent a maintenance tech to look at it. They removed a plywood barrier in the basement and showed me that the wall was also collapsing inside. This was where animals were entering. The plywood was secured so that they could not enter the basement's main area and then nothing else was done, no further communication. Three months later, I noticed a hole in the plywood and again saw animals in the basement. An unknown creature chewed on wiring down there as well, causing a dangerous situation with the furnace running out of control. Temperature in the home reached over 100 degrees that day. AG again sent a tech to look at the basement. This time I asked for a timeline, as the situation was becoming really concerning and potentially dangerous and unsanitary. I was told they could not fix the issue and would do nothing until the owner approved. So at this point I have lived with a literally collapsing foundation and animal intrusion for 3 months. I then called Neighborhood Code, who found a slew of other violations in the home. A condemn and vacate order was issued and i moved out. AG was able to satisfy the items on the condemn order which included a sewage leak and unsafe wiring and just barely avoided the house being condemned. Not one person in their office apologized to me or asked if we had a safe place to go. There was absolutely zero compassion for me and my family. Their response has been to threaten me with the terms of the lease (by text message of course), as though the property can be rented to anyone in this condition. The foundation is still collapsing, outlets are not compliant in kitchen and bathrooms, none of the windows on the first floor are functional, etc., etc. Avoid at all costs. This is slumlord behavior. ​​I wish I could give zero stars.

I would not recommend renting from C-Par Property Management in Goshen, Indiana. Mark Bigler is a very rude and unprofessional man. We rented our home for 13 years, and left the home in great condition. However, they refuse to give our deposit back. I have all the paperwork/receipts and my quarterly inspections, which were always remarkable. Most issues we took care of ourselves without asking for maintenance or reimbursement. They advised me that they were waiting for a response from the owner. I called the owner and he advised me that he had not heard from them since December! The only thing they seem to accomplish is passing the ball. Today, I called and received the same rude treatment as always. When I asked Debra to please be professional, she hung up on me. Not surprised. I wish they took a little more pride in their business. As a small business owner myself, I can't imagine speaking to my customers the way Debra speaks to me each and every time I call. We are good tenants, we pay our rent on time every week, maintenance the home in the ways that we are able, mitigate expenses for the owner whenever possible, and yet I am still treated rudely and unprofessionally each time I speak with Debra. Wildly unprofessional behavior.
