Mind you, when I came here it was packed, but it was a Saturday morning, and similar cafes in Melbourne also get packed at that time. It was okay, and the service was passable as well.

Actually, the food was pretty good, and the staff certainly made sure we could find a place where we could sit and have something to eat, despite it being packed. Even though both times were very busy, there was always a clean table available without waiting, service at the counter was fast, and food and coffee came out without much of a wait at all. I was really impressed considering how slow their other cafe is in South City. We ate and had coffee both times and the flavour was great and the size of meal was fairly priced. The only very minor negatives are that its position in the main street and at the front of the Marketplace can sometimes make parking difficult unless you want to park in the Marketplace carpark, which isn't all that convenient if you're just there for The Coffee Club. On both occasions we got a park on the street without a hassle so it wasn't a negative for me but may be for others or in the future. The other thing is that when they're busy, it's very noisy due to the acoustics in there with everyone talking. Again, that's very minor but it did affect how long I wanted to stay after we'd finished our meal. Overall a great experience both times and I'll continue to go back there for brunch in future.

Lighting is dark but not too dark, sets the mood in the right way. Visited on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy. You order from the bar and they bring your food out. I ordered a lamb lollipop and the pumpkin soup. You only get one lolli but it had me wanting a dozen more. I'm not a big lamb eater but this was succulent, tender, and well marinated with a sweet and tangy glaze. I also don't order soup much but I found the pumpkin soup quite nice. I wasn't a fan of the seeds on top, but I guess it fits with the birdhouse theme. It was a nice consistency, not too runny or too thick. Plenty of flavor and served hot. Came with a piece of fresh sourdough as well. I also tried my girlfriend's chicken wings and those were on point too. Tender and juicy with a glaze that was a good balance of salty and tangy. (Didn't order drinks) So if you're headed out to eat in Wagga, this place's food quality is up there. Only thing I didn't enjoy was the seating - hard to maneuver in and out of the booths and the tables are practically at your knees so you have to hunch over to eat. Other than that, I'm a fan.
