I have seen both Grace and Judy, and both are great at understanding my specific needs and tailoring the massage to my preferences. Everything was perfect until it came time to pay. The lady who did my message did an outstanding job. I got a 90 minute massage for $115.00. When I got to the front to pay the lady who did my massage was standing next to me & some other employee. Not sure if she was the manager but she was the one closing out the service. When it came time to pay she asked me if I would be leaving the tip on the card or cash. I told her how much gratuity I was leaving & she stated "90 minute massage which was great you leave more money $30" and pointed to the suggested tip amount on the wall. I WAS SOOOOO LIVID! I clearly stated "You can't tell me what to leave, you don't know people's situation ... and you should be grateful to even receive ANYTHING". She laughed and said "I gave you great massage $30 tip." I told her how unprofessional she is & the fact that she had the audacity to tell me what I NEED to leave as a tip is outrageous. She & the lady continued to speak to each other making sure I didn't know what was being said. I paid for my service & as I am walking out the door the lady who did my massage walked out the door behind me and was saying things in a language I do not understand. Overall, I was appalled by the whole situation & I will not be going back. Leaving a tip is NOT demanded & not included in the service. Just be thankful for even receiving something & don't harass someone for MORE money.

When it comes to prenatal massage, you either lie on your side or some spas have a special pillow for your belly so you can be facedown. Here, they have you lie on your side which was still comfy and I was able to relax. While she can't go too deep, I found the pressure to be good... Only complaint was that it went by too fast! Body & Balance offers a lot more besides prenatal massage including deep tissue, Swedish, and hot stone massages, as well as cupping. It's located inside Gables Optimal Health which has a few different holistic practitioners. I've received massages from a few different therapists at both their Fort Lauderdale location and the one here in Plantation, but what keeps me coming back to this Plantation Walk location is literally the best massage therapist on the planet -- Ace. He is very popular among my friends and quite a few of us see him regularly. His understanding of the human body -- muscles, ligaments, tendons -- how to treat the body, how to stretch the body, and how to work out those pesky knots is honestly incredible. The man massages like it's a work of art, which I truly think it is. If I've been non-compliant with stretching after the gym, I can count on Ace to get me walking again. If my back and neck feel broken after stressful long shifts at work, I know I can count on him to help me regain mobility and stay pain-free. If you ever want to treat yourself, you should absolutely come to this location. The front desk staff are very kind and welcoming. They offer still water as well as citrus-infused water. They also have a bunch of little knick-knacks and creams, aromatherapy items, candles, etc. I used to belong to their membership, but I just can't financially commit to it right now. If I could, I would totally get the membership again. They also are not very pushy about it, and canceling the membership is not difficult. The bathrooms are very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The entire vibe of the studio is calming, pleasant, and relaxing. In the background they play ocean waves, which I personally find very soothing. The lighting is dim and the space smells lightly of essential oils, which really adds to the relaxing atmosphere. As far as the massage spaces themselves, they are not fully private rooms but rather individual areas separated by curtains. There is still plenty of privacy and the lighting is dim so you don't feel like people are looking at you. Of course, guests should still be courteous by silencing their phones and speaking quietly. Before your massage, there is a pre-debrief room where you talk with your therapist about any problem areas, ailments, or what you are hoping to get out of the session. Post-massage you also briefly debrief in that same room to make sure you feel good and everything went well. Ace is extremely popular, so I would definitely recommend booking ahead if you want to see him. Honestly, this place is a little piece of heaven.
