Unfortunately, that couldn't be further from the truth. The food is absolutely terrible. I wouldn't serve some of it to anyone. The kitchen seems to go through cooks constantly, and the meals look and taste like something thrown together with no care at all. I've posted pictures so you can see for yourself -- what they are calling "lasagna" on the menu. It looks like it is missing marinara sauce and was filled with something that could pass for cat pate. You can't even tell that it is what it is. Also, do you serve corn and broccoli with lasagna? My mom sends me photos of her meals all the time, and it's heartbreaking. I've resorted to taking her grocery shopping so she can have something decent to eat. I genuinely feel sorry for the residents who don't have family nearby to help them. It's a shame because the facility itself is clean and the staff are kind and caring. But the food situation is unacceptable -- and it's been this way for years now. If management doesn't fix the kitchen problem, it overshadows everything else that is good about the place.

Victoria was so kind and gave us a tour of The Phoenix. We had never seen anything like this as it was like being at a lodge in Colorado. The building is beautifully decorated and has amenities I couldn't imagine from a library, to a Garden room, to a movie room, etc. We spent a few hours here and every staff member greeted us with kindness, knowledge, and friendliness. They knew all of the residents names and genuinely seemed joyful in their job. When he arrived after being transported from the hospital they immediately took care of him and gave him a bath. His first meal here he ate every bite and loved the food. We are grateful we found a place that would love on him when we can't. We also love the area as it is in a residential area where the local community supports and loves on the residents.

I don't tolerate giving a performance that takes tons of energy, 1 hour getting ready, 1 hour travel and 1 hour performance and then they expect to get a freebie. I have been performing for over 45 years and will take clients to small claims court to get payment. Past clients have paid penalties for treating me so disrespectfully. I do not tolerate it !

I have been going to Dr. Sermons for 12 years. He has exceptional bedside manner and safely…read moredelivered my 3 children via c-section. He went above and beyond to ensure top-notch care during my 4/5-day hospital stays. Not only did he visit me 2x day at the hospital, but he called many times, and answered my calls right away when I needed him. He also stayed for additional time to have meaningful conversations with me and other members of my family. My husband and I will never forget the first appt we had with him. A staff member had moved the ultrasound machine to another room, he looked out the door and said "who touch my shit?!" We looked at each other stunned and thought ..."did he just curse?" But this was just a little peek into the level of deep care we were about to embark on. One thing you must know about Dr. Sermons is that he is funny as hell and will curse anyone out who is not doing their job properly. When the nurses at the hospital noticed my chart, they look at each other and said "oh, it's Dr. Sermons" and upon inquiring more on their comment they said "honey, you KNOW your doctor. He does not play around!" Dr. Sermons is skilled, respected, and loved by his wonderful staff. Although he doesn't handle high-risk pregnancies anymore, he hired a great doctor who is as equally as passionate and attentive as he is. My husband likes him just as much as I do and always looked forward to joining me on appointments because it was a party anytime he entered the room (even on FaceTime!). The day he retires will be a sad one. Also, I want to add that he's incredibly thorough and NOT one to overlook even the smallest of details. He moved me to his office after 2 of my appointments to further discuss certain concerns. His background in pharm is such a plus! He has customized prescriptions for me in the past and explained in detail side effects and alternatives to meds which I appreciate since I prefer to avoid depending on medication when possible.

I spoke with the office manager, and she claim she sent a message in some portal ... first of all, how am I suppose to get it if I'm a NEW patient?? I haven't seen anyone! And no I didn't receive a call ... her response to that was "well it was 11at night" if it was that serious, I would've made that call. (So unprofessional in my opinion) I am new to this pregnancy journey and I was hoping that I would be able to be seen at this office because I heard nothing but great things about the providers. But TRUST the reviews about the office staff. I should've known better when I walked up to the counter ON TIME the receptionist didn't even acknowledge me. This is NOT the type of place I want my first time pregnancy journey to be around. This is just my experience. Maybe yours would be different. Just don't get your hopes up.

When I came across GCFW and realized they were in network, it was an easy 'yes' after hearing feedback and seeing the woman-led team. They are located within Emory Hospital and up the hall from the ultrasound office so it just aligned so well with my healthcare plan. First let me say, Ms. Tasha at the front is my absolute FAVORITE. It was so nice to hear a familiar voice every time I called and had an appointment. After 9 months of appointments at the same place, sometimes once a week, you get to liking folks lol. I was incredibly nervous being a first time mom and the ladies in the office are so sweet, they really make GCFW look good and were the best parts of my appointments. I didn't have as much face time with Dr. Lemon as I expected as I primarily met with the midwife, Allegra, from the beginning. When I did meet with Dr. Lemon she was so sweet and has the biggest smile. Dr. Lemon did some ultrasounds on me towards the end to check on baby J and did some other tests. Allegra was so great and my main healthcare provider while carrying my son and I got really comfortable with her. Well... in the role she plays, you better be comfortable! Lol. She is very calm and mellow, even when I was a nervous wreck lol. I was begging her to make sure that I delivered on a certain day so my mom could be in the room and I know she wanted to get rid of my crazy self then, lol. But she was always so patient. All in all, a wonderful practice and team. I'm so happy that I found them and that I have them on my healthcare team.
