A fairly recent addition to the High Street, it's a useful address for last minute necessities or cravings. Unlike many 'corner' shops (it's in the middle of the high street), it has a clean, fresh feel and a pretty good range of food, snacks, kitchen and bathroom supplies - along with a decent selection of newspapers and magazines.
I happily found one of my favourite, good-quality, high-cocoa-solid chocolate bars here (not always easy to come-by). Together with some bottled-water, it neatly filled the gap, when I was at the nearby Rose Theatre (mere yards away) and unable to get through the queues at the bar, in time for the second half.
Helpfully, they are open 24 hours (a novelty in the area) but bear in mind they don't have an alcohol licence. read more
