But it can also be horrible. Shiny mix and match tops and weird shaped skirts that you wonder if anybody can wear them or bizarre looking shoes. It is worth having an in-depth look each time though because as I said you can alway something amazing and it is usually quite cheap.

We were told that all the clothing is made in France and England. I have no reason to suspect otherwise. Assuming this is true then Heroines is a bargain! Perhaps it is my Bronx skepticism kicking-in. The manager/salesperson was outstanding but I can't remember her name. I don't want to say how much we spent, but let's just say we greatly surpassed the US incoming custom's exemption. I guess we'll just need to donate the excess prior to re-entering the homeland...

Dresses, shoes and coats inspired by 1950's vintage style with a modern edge, gorgeous construction and design. Nina helped choose some things that were wonderfully complementary to my body shape stating "it's not about size, but shape". As I'm a few sizes larger in France then the US, this was very helpful to hear. She was a great sales person, spoke beautiful English and was a lot of fun. I adore the jacket I bought and am actually looking forward to colder weather so I can wear it and let the complements roll in.
