If you want a decent lawn don't hire JMC Landscape Company, Excelsior Springs, MO to install it…read more My builder, New Mark Homes, had JMC install my lawn in Johnson County, KS and you could find better landscapes in cow pastures. The roughness of my yard indicates there was little, if any, preparation. I am supposed to have fescue grass but there are other grasses mixed in, as well as plenty of weeds and crab grass. Some of the grass was in clumps. They did not roll the grass so it would make good contact with the ground, as good installers do. (Four of the five installers I have observed in my development rolled the grass after laying it down). Instead, they turned the sprinklers on to 20 minute cycles three times a day. That drowned three new trees and some of the grass. I have been watering, pulling weeds and crabgrass for two months now and much of my yard is still a mess.

He truly takes pride in the quality of his work, and it shows every single time he takes care of our lawn. He doesn't just rush through the job--he makes sure everything looks great before he leaves. It's rare to find someone who genuinely cares as much as he does. He's always courteous, dependable, and willing to go the extra mile. I really appreciate all of his hard work and the care he puts into keeping our yard looking its best. If you're looking for someone you can trust to do an outstanding job, look no further. We have used Urban Tree Specialists for several years, but I've never written a review until now…read more Bret Cleveland, the owner, is an honest, straight shooter when it comes to the care of the trees on your property. After working with him over the years, we don't think of him as just another vendor. We think of him as someone we've built a relationship with and trust a great deal. We have several maple trees along our driveway, and the one closest to the street lost a large branch during a recent storm. This wasn't the first time the tree had dropped a major limb, so we asked Bret to assess whether it could be saved or if it was time to remove it. Once we decided to take the tree down, it took about eight weeks before the work was scheduled. That wasn't an issue for us because Bret had been upfront about the timeline from the beginning. The three-person crew arrived Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. and finished by 11:30 a.m. What impressed me most was how well the team worked together. Everyone had a clear role, they communicated constantly, and there was very little wasted movement. It was obvious they had done this together many times before. I don't know if every tree service operates this way, but I was amazed at how clean they left the job site. Every branch, twig, and piece of debris was removed. They clearly take pride in their work and treat your property with the same care they would their own. If you have storm damage, need routine tree trimming, or simply want an honest opinion about the health of the trees on your property, I would strongly recommend giving Urban Tree Specialists a call.
