Best Buy is my go to store for most tech stuff. They have a good location, good selection and good prices. Their prices and selection are competitive with the online stores so I'll come here when I can't wait for delivery...like when your wifi router breaks! read more

Attempted to cancel my warranty less than 24 hours after buying it, reprasenative that I purchased the warranty from said it was for 2 years. When I got home and checked my receipt it said I signed up for a 5 year warranty. The receipt says can cancel within 30 days by calling in or chatting in with no fee. When I initially chatted in I was told I needed to wait 30 days, advised the representative several times that I would be charged and that's why I'm reach out less than 24 hours after purchase. Representative advised I needed to chat back after 30 days, advised I don't want to be charged because I've already chatted in, representative advised to take screenshots of the chat. I chatted back in after the 30 days and was told I'd be charged the cancellation fee, I attempted to escalate as I had already chatted in and was told I could chat back in after the 30 days. I was charged the cancellation fee in the end. I will never buy another item from Best Buy, your company messed up and I'm now losing over $200. read more

Don't shop here. I needed a new laptop for an upcoming (in 2 weeks) online interview. I drove two hours one-way to the Regina store, only to find they didn't carry the laptop I wanted. So they had it sent to my mailbox. I was assured that the laptop would make it in time. But apparently their laptops can't ship to PO boxes. Good thing their employees know that. Thankfully I was checking the shipment because I didn't receive ANY notification about this issue. I called Best Buys customer service to have the address corrected. After more than a week with no changes, the laptop was shipped back to the depot. Its already missed my interview. The reason I bought it for. The cherry on top of their customer service: the won't send the laptop anywhere. They won't mail it. They won't send it to another store. They don't even have it at the Regina store. The only option for me is to drive another two hours one-way to Regina. For. A. Refund. A refund. Does that refund include time and money for the now eight hours of driving involved in this? A refund won't undo how I had to scramble and find an alternative solution to do my interview. And the way their system works, I can't call a store directly. I have to wait for them to call me. I don't know when, sometime in the next three days. That's convenient and I'm so glad we live in the age of communication. Never shopping here again. I'm telling everyone too. read more

Best Buy has no after sales support, their customer support sucks! When you call them, you have to wait for more than a hour before someone answers your call. Do not buy their extended proctection plan for the item you buy for they are just taking out your money with no good customer support. The staff are not well educated of what they are doing for they have different explanation when you ask them especially about the extended protection plan. read more

0 star performance from unsocial people Went shopping for a new pair of headphones and after I had to chase an associate he informed me the item I wanted was out of stock, but using my phone I was able to reserve for in store pickup, let the manager in charge know of my hassles and did nothing so I did, told them maybe they should just stay in New Delhi and be tech support and not be let out in public to interact read more

Tried to phone this store to see where my computer was and the status of repairs.was passed on to several departments which stated that I should hold on and they would get back to me. No one ever did. They finally just hung up on me. When I drove to the store I was informed that my computer needed a new hard drive which they put in and wanted over $400.00 for. I only paid $300.00 for the computer. As I never agreed to the repairs I said I wanted my computer back and my deposit that I. Paid to have it looked at back. I took it in to get them.to run a clean up program and anti virus. I got back a piece of junk that didn't work at all. I will.never shop.at this companies store any more. read more

I know that COVID-19 have made things hard but, that is no excuse to not let someone in when he says there is room. I told the guy I was just looking and he said I can't go in unless I make a purchase. All I wanted to do is look for a pc and monitor as I'm considering getting a pc set up. He also said the site was up to date and I showed him it was not and he refused to agree with me read more

On December 17th, 2012, my wife purchased a brand new Samsung S II SGH-T989D cell phone with activation on the Kodoo network from Best Buy on Prince of Wales Dr. She wrapped it up and put it under the tree for my Christmas present. On Christmas day (Dec 25th, 2012), I received my gift. Upon turning on the phone, 25 percent of the screen is dark, its got a bad LCD screen. On Jan 3rd, my earliest opportunity, I tried to exchange the damaged phone, and Best Buy informs me that they have a strict 14 day exchange or return policy. I was unaware of such a policy as it was gift. The receipt of my gift says all gifts can be returned or exchanged up until Jan 6th, 2013. Manager of the store refuses to exchange the phone. I'm cancelling the cell contract, trying to return my Christmas gift as I'll continue to shop elsewhere. NEVER will buy anything from Best Buy, as its always been a BAD BUY for me. read more

Phoned multiple times, no one answers their phone. Sales on for multiple weeks with no inventory.

My wife and went to Best Buy to purchase 2 fitbits which we had already investigated on line. The person greeting us at the door asked if we needed help and I stated we were looking for their Fit Bit section. They started to take us over there but the way was blocked by 2 or 3 employees doing in something so the employee with us waved in the general direction and said to one of the other three that we were looking for fit bits and a again we got a wave in the general direction. We found what we were looking for and stood around waiting for some one to tell us the difference between one and the other. She lead us to a chart to show us the difference. Then we decided to purchase 2 identical ones but when we asked to see the color of the bands she said she could not show us that. We would have to rely on the color of the box. So we picked the 2 we wanted and she took them out of the case. I then wanted to go look at a printer but we were made to feel like thieves when she said we could not carry the purchase we were about to make with us and she would have to secure them at the till. I am 69 years old and have never stolen anything in my life. I am not starting with a couple of fit bits. We gave them to her and went to look at printers but anyone who new anything about the printers were to busy to talk to us and they left us with a young man who did his best at trying to read labels to help us look for what we were looking for unfortunately I knew more then he did so I gave up I will go to Staples or London drugs or a computer store where i can get real answers. The store was loud and noisy and the staff stood in groups of 3 or 4 but no one had time to help you. When they did they were rude. All except for the young man who did not know anything about Printers and the young check out clerk who didn't know if the 80.00 fee for geek squad care was for 1 of the fit bits or for both. We found out it was for each one which would have been 160.00 bucks on top of the 660.00 dollars i was already paying . We said no thank you. All in all one of the worst service and shopping experiences I have had in a long time. Frosty day in July before I cross that door again. You're made to feel like a fool, a thief, and an interruption to the sales staff day. I was i sales for near 40 years and we went by the motto that the customer is not the interruption in my day the customer is the reason for my day. Maybe they need a sales manager that could install some work ethics. Just a thought read more

On February 12th 2016 I went to the Best Buy on Prince of whales Dr. looking to buy a ps4 I went inside found and associate and I found a suitable ps4 with the Uncharted digital download collection. They let me know that it was previously own but the person who owned it only had it for two weeks then returned it. Upon buying it I also purchased star wars battlefront. when I got home I plugged it in and as always you are supposed to setup a account. So I did and it required me too pay for PlayStation plus like always or it gave me a two day free trial so I selected that and after those two days were up I typed in the code for the uncharted collection that the ps4 came with, and then it told me that this code is invalid and that it had already been used, so the guy that had previously owned it must have had used the code then brought the ps4 back. So the next day I packed up the ps4 and took it back to the store and asked them for a refund they told me I couldn't return a previously returned item and that I should of known that this was going to happen and that they would sell me a brand new console for even more money! And because of that I will never shop at Best buy on Prince of whales Dr. ever again! read more

For the most part it's been a good shopping experience there, but there is certainly room for improvement at this location. Did a TV exchange once and that wasn't so bad, but felt the length of time it took to get that accomplished was longer than it needed to be. read more
