This was by far the worst experience I've ever had as a customer anywhere in my entire life. 45 minutes in the store being ignored by employees it told they will be rite back just to see them in another section helping new customers to never return, went to customer service desk to ask for help and was told " we're having an issue with one of the cages so no one can help you ". Another 15 minutes a employees finally acknowledges my existence and ask if I need help to witch I respond " yes I'm trying to buy a surface with the detachable keyboard " immediately walks past me to a lady and starts helping her instead. Another employee comes over finally helps and I am extremly clear that I do not care about price I just need whatever surface they have in stock that has the removable keyboard since I just need the tablet feature.... Tells me the only one they have is 1200. I say I'll take it and I finally depart Best Buy after almost 2 hrs. Get home, open the Bag and package only to find out they had sold me a surface laptop instead of the surface pro after stating/checking multiples times that it had the detachable keyboard.... And Best Buy's solutions to this head ache " we can order one, it will be about 5 days. Anyone can order one online for cheaper then Best Buy and get it faster. The point in going to a physical store is to walk out with the product in hand, especially when your inventory says the item is in stock. my husband and I went to look as a specific laptop computer we are going to purchase, a salesman led us to where it was and walked away, no donyou have any questions, and he's gone. The service counter was no better, the guy helping us was not even listening to the questions my husband had, it was like talking to a brick wall, sorry to say that, but it's the truth. had I asked him to repeat what my husband asked he would not have been able to answer. he called another person to help which he did. what a circus! I am so glad we will not be ordering it thought the Minot Store. I think your staff need a shake up, wake up, do your jobs! never will we step foot in Minots store. SAD!!!! read more

In desperate need of ink for tax forms. (Yay?) Generally speaking, there isn't a lot of fluctuation in ink pricing, no matter where I go. It's always in stock here & it was a convenient stop. As is the usual, not a lot in the way of customer engagement, despite there being more employees than customers. Not a big deal since there was a specific mission. It could be problematic for someone actually needing assistance tho. read more

Stopped in here for one specific item. Passed the staff members and no one asked if I needed anything. Went to the television department and finally someone asked me a question of I needed help. Bought on item but since it only cost $34.00 they seemed like it was an inconvenience. That OSS why I have this place a 3 star. They either need more training or another manager. read more

Well. Minot customer service strikes again. Thanks to a woman named Amelia. I will never step foot in this particular best but again. Pretty much secured the fact that will be using amazon for all my electronic needs She basically made it feel like I was inconveniencing her even though it is her job to be inconvenienced. Went in for a cut and dry situation. Didn't try to ask her manager for help. Even though if you look up my rewards and I've spent quite a bit of money with best buy. That didn't matter. Don't waste your time. Go try the product out, then buy it on amazon. You thank me later. This place is a joke. read more

The service is terrible. I come in and have to ask get helped in order to pick up my three month old tablet that was a warranty item. I am now standing in line and at the earliest going to get helped in 15 minutes just to pick up my computer. Worst system and needs to be changed. There are numerous employees who are department specific doing nothing and cannot assist in other departments. So, since geek squad is understaffed only one customer service representative can help customers forcing you to wait and unnecessary amount of time for even the simplest of items. Terrible service that needs to be fixed. If you have a repair that is a warranty issue you should be able to pick it up on demand without having to wait and unnecessary amount of time. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I refuse to go to this establishment any longer due to several reasons. You can walk into this store and stand in one place for an hour without having anyone ask if you need help with anything if you do actually catch one of the store clerks, they either act like they are too good to help you, don't have a clue, or try to sell you something completely different then what you are looking for (someone tried to sell me a $2500 projector when I was looking for a wifi dongle) Things are overpriced as compared to other stores I have seen larger selections of items at a convienince store Return policy is horrible read more

I have been a rewards member for eight years. I used to be a chauffeur at the San Francisco airport so I had the convenience of driving all over the Bay Area, each and every day. There are about 17 Best Buy stores surrounding San Francisco Bay, and whenever I would drop off my passenger/s near one, I would stop by to look for the "best buys"; open box electronics. I have furnished my entire 7.1 speaker home theater system by finding open box sale items which were between 40% to 50% off the unopened box price. It would have been impossible to furnish my entire system, with open box items, if I had just one store to shop in. My point is, I have been to many Best Buy's, in several states. I just visited this Best Buy yesterday, and I can say everyone was friendly. From the time I walked in the door until I left the store I received the same level of customer service I have experienced in the other stores. This first visit I only ended up buying an Xbox game, but I will continue to do all my shopping at Best Buy because they have good prices, great customer service, and great selection. Bigger cities of course have bigger stores and much larger selections, but I think Minot is fortunate to even have a Best Buy, so I was pleasantly surprised to find one here. Also when I want something, I want it now and I'm too impatient to order it through the mail. So I like to walk into my neighborhood Best Buy store and walk out with it. read more

I'm not happy at all with Best Buy store in Minot, ND or the Geek Squad there. If there were minus stars that is what I would give them. I had a really bad experience with them when I bought my first computer back in 2005. Kept getting told one thing about their services and then getting told something different when it came time for help. Well I thought I'd give them one more chance and bought another computer in May of 2011. Well, same thing. Told one thing and get told another. Time and time again. Very frustrating. I recently went to Best Buy in Minot to update my technology for my small business. The service was excellent. The "Team Leader" who helped me was exquisitely well informed about the products, and helped me select a new laptop that was well matched to my needs. Every time I shop at this Best Buy I am more impressed with the service. This is the second laptop I have purchased at the store and the third smartphone. In addition, I have purchased a large smart tv and various other electronics products and accessories. The service is always excellent. And I leave the store better informed about the products I am interested in. Great Job!! read more

We have the Geek squad We paid a lot of Money for the Geek Squad so We bring in the computer so they can look at the hard drive and give us a number off the hard drive so we can order something so We can fix our computer. We finally get what we need to get the computer fixed and guess what the HARD DRIVE is not in the computer then they are telling Me I took it out and if I could find the hard drive why would I pay Geek Squad to work on My computer. THINK long and hard before you pay large amount of Money for Geek Squad Protection Plan. I did in the past sing the Praise of Geek Squad but now They SUCK big time. I bought a new Surface Pro in May and having problems with it from the beginning. After all the times I have had it in to Geek Squad (3) they tell me they can only give me a refurbished one. That is crap. No longer going to do business with Best Buy. Going somewhere that stands behind it's products and cares about their customers. read more
