Best Buy Homes, A-1 Homes and the Sawatsky Group are all affiliated. Buyer beware. I purchased a mobile home from the company. I customized the layout. The sales agreement was amended several times due to price increases. Ordered Oct. 2014 Delivered Dec.2014. Best Buy's wheels on the dolly were a safety concern. A total of 3 lugnuts remained in place holding 4 tires. When I requested to look inside the mobile home before they dropped it the driver said to me, "Look it, this trailer is going to backed into the lot and taken off the dolly cause it ain't goin no further!" IT WAS THE WRONG MODEL. I told the driver he could take it right back where he brought it from. He said, "Ain't happenin bro! We had to detour 35 kms off course to bypass scales cause DOT would never have let me leave." I did not receive stairs with my unit. During my walkthrough I discovered many deficiencies including but not limited to; urine and nails in the front bathroom toilet, poor workmanship throughout eg. cracked tiles, broken crown molding, loose windows secured with staples no vapour barrier, filthy, no fitting on the shower connection, no natural gas hookups (which I paid extra for), no 5 piece en suite. We have no idea how this mobile home passed an inspection or building code! The salesman that sold it to me said, "Sorry but this is what the factory sent and its deemed right. Home warranty will deal the mistakes now get the blank out of my office and phone the head guy." I have been in communication with A-1 Homes, Best Buy Homes and Pro Mobile and to date a solution has not been presented. Pease be advised that the above statement is only a fraction of the record of events that have taken place after the arrival of the wrong mobile home. The warranty company is impossible to deal with. They either cancel appointments and claim they were never booked, or show up with the wrong parts/tools/work orders or lack the equipment and manpower to complete the repairs not to mention lack the skill set. Nobody mentioned in the above will claim responsibility. They'll just keep passing the buck. read more
