Bought a dryer in November. Since it had warranty I felt 100.00 for protection plan was to much for me since I'm on SS. Mat dryer quit heating. I went through Best Buy who swore they couldn't find a sale. Some reason still under indiana address. I deleted that and put new address in. I was told call warranty. Which led me to geek squad. They screwed up delivering it. I got it in December. Now they screw up repairman. June 8 he came out said wasn't sure but having his secretary order thermostat and thermocouple. 7-10 days it would come to My house. Waited 11 days called. Said there was nothing on report about parts. Once they figured it out they put order in June 19. When I asked for exchange I was told no I had a waiting of 25 days. I've already been without dryer for 2 months. I'm upset because all I'm getting from Best Buy is I know your upset but... solve this don't buy from Best Buy. I filed a complaint against Best Buy. Since then they have made things right. After two weeks of supervisorers telling me they couldn't swap out dryer I had for only 5 months, I got a call from Chris in Minneapolis stating a new dryer would be delivered on July 5. Which it has been. Crew was really good. Told me what the protection plan covers and I have 14 days to decide if I want to purchase it. Warranty starts today on new dryer. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with a recent purchase and the subsequent customer service experience I faced. I purchased a Lenovo Yoga I-9i laptop, Model: 8381001XUS, SKU:6533949, in an open box condition labeled as "Excellent." According to your website, an item in "Excellent" condition should work and look like new, be restored to factory settings, and include all original parts, packaging, and accessories or suitable replacements. I paid extra to have this level of quality assurance. However, when the laptop was delivered, it was nothing short of a disaster. There was no original bag or packaging at all. Instead, the laptop was thrown into a box with some bubble wrap, accompanied by a charger. The laptop was dirty, had a damaged screen, and displayed multiple defects. The condition was far from even "Fair," let alone "Excellent." I immediately contacted customer service and called four times using the online customer service number. Each time, I was told that nothing could be done online. I was instructed to visit the nearest Best Buy store in Dothan, Al. Despite the significant inconvenience, I made an hour and a half round-trip drive to the store. Once I entered the Best Buy location the store manager, Andy Gentry, was chatting with another employee and I approached and stated I had a return. Mr. Gentry looked annoyed and pointed me to the front counter and said "over there". The customer service representative agreed that the product was far from excellent condition and I requested to return the product and purchase the product for the sale price that it was the other day when I purchased the "excellent" open box laptop, because I would have purchased a new one had I known the standards that Best Buy upheld. The customer service representative went to Mr. Gentry to explain and very quickly returned to advise that they could not assist me and that the only solution was a full refund. This was extremely frustrating, especially after spending an additional hour on the phone prior to my visit. To make matters worse, the manager would not speak directly with me. The customer service representative I dealt with was visibly uncomfortable and offered no real assistance other than processing my refund. I am bewildered by the disjointed and inadequate service between Best Buy's online and Dothan in-store teams. It is unacceptable to invest time and money into a product and receive such poor quality and service in return. As a loyal customer who has spent on average $2,000 annually at Best Buy, I find this experience appalling. I feel compelled to share this negative experience through every possible channel to warn others about the lack of accountability and poor service I have encountered. read more

We had the most amazing experience here last night. We went to go get a ninja blender and they had one to pick up. When we checked out we priced matched the blender to Amazon to save 20 bucks. The cashier Damien then took the extra step to find out if it was cheaper anyplace else. It was significantly cheaper at Kohls, so he saved us even more money. We really appreciated that level of customer service. I would recommend this location. read more

I bought a case for my phone and I wanted to price match against an Amazon price. The cashier checked to make sure I was getting the best price available (I already was). On my second visit here, we were in the market for a Ninja Blender. The price match with Amazon was going to save use $20...great! The cashier checked other price matches and found one at Kohl's. It saved use $100! This above and beyond customer service was fantastic! UPDATE: I purchased an iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, and Keyboard Folia last week. Today, the iPad was on sale for $150 off and the Keyboard Folio was on sale for $10 off. I went to the Best Buy and they price matched it for me and refunded me the price difference! Jason went above and beyond and found the perfect All-in-One computer for me. He was super friendly and highly educated on the many types of hardware on the market today. It is nice to see such a great attitude, especially these days when nobody wants to work. I went in for a audio connector or aux cord. just entered seemed like a ghost town no one was in site figured because they were helping people no biggie. went looking around for my item and still no workers and no customers on the floor so where are they? went to the cell phone area, speaker and headphone area and no audio cord. so figured i'll look in the tv and audio section just to see and finally a sales associate comes out and asks if i needed anything, told him i am looking for a audio connector with two female ends. he and i go to the section where they might be and said seems like we don't have it and you might have get it online sorry. I have already spent almost 20 minutes in the store looking for this thing and i knew that the store had it because i looked to see if it was available online which is was in this location. so i said thank you and walked around just to see if i might need anything else. and looking around i found the aux cords in some random place but i found them. went to check out and it seemed like a maze. everything was closed off where the checkout line should be granted no one was in the store so why have the checkout available i get it. asked the women in the geek squad area where to checkout and she vaguely pointed over there. okay walk towards "over there" and then she stopped me and said ma'am here right. like sorry didn't really know where "over there" was. If I could give negative stars I would. We bought an 85 inch tv from the Best Buy in Dothan Alabama. It was damaged when it arrived. The store manager refuses to refund or replace the unit because we did not pay 149.99 to have the geek squad plug it in at our home. The store manager has repeatedly cancelled all attempts from the online web site to pick up his damaged merchandise and cancels every order for a replacement or refund. I used to like Best Buy, but now I no longer trust them. I bought a DSL router, which I have under warranty. They no longer carry DSL modems, claiming that Century link won't let them. No I cannot get cash back, to buy the modem I need. They offer in store credit, but won't sell what I need. From here on I guess I will shop on Amazon. They seem to have no shortage of DSL modems. Got what I paid for when I had geek squad at the Dothan Best Buy apply a tech armor screen protector to my iPad Pro. Took about 10 to 15 minutes, noticed later as I was using it that there were 5 or 6 dimples where they trapped dirt or grit under the protector and several spots along the edge the protector was creased or wrinkled from manhandling it which never would have smoothed out. Finally removed it and threw the protector away. While they didn't charge me, I guess I got what I paid for. I am out the $7 bucks for the protector. Got 1 left, will NOT be getting geek squad to put it on. read more

I purchased an Apple computer two years ago along with the Geek Squad warranty. Just today, my wife received a call on her cell phone that they had renewed the original Geek Squad warranty at a cost 0f $289.00. This was done without my authorization and automatic. My wife and I tried too cancel the charge since we felt it was not needed at the time. We NEVER succeeded in canceling the charge since we were confronted with an individual on the telephone that gave us a thousand excuses why we should not cancel. He mentioned that we had to go back to the computer and cancel electronically. I am a disabled veteran and have a hearing problem that only made communications worse. I finally gave up in desperation after the individual made reference to "SENIOR CITIZENS" like it was something derogatory. AS A RESULT AND EVEN THOUGH I HAVE BEEN AN EXCELLENT CUSTOMER IN THE PAST, I WILL STOP BUYING ANYTHING AT ALL FROM BEST BUY. So, because of a BB reps ineptitude, they have lost an excellent customer. What a joke? Best Buy needs to pick their employees with more care. TOO BAD! read more

Bought an HP laptop, the internal chip has malfunctioned since purchasing it. Laptop will not connect to internet, and if it does it only stays connected for about 20 minutes. This of course isn't Best Buy's fault. I am writing the review because of Jared Peters, one of the employees who works there. I spoke with him about my options on dealing with the issue and he gave me a few routes to go on how to deal with the issue. It's employees like this that keep customers coming back. Would give zero stars but... ordered a double wall oven on September 2. Delivery was today October 16, 2020. Got emails confirming installation and delete lat night and again this morning. 15 minutes later, I get a phone call that item is not available, not sold at store and not available. They had a month and a half and they call the morning of delivery. Husband took a day off and started removing old oven. Very unprofessional . Call corporate to complain and find out that it is available and could be here in 9 days. Wow. Way to run a business. Will not ever order or buy from Best Buy again! The WORST. Purchased a high end LG dryer for $1600.00. scheduled delivery for the following Sat morning. Delivery window came and went with no dryer. I called and spoke with a manager who explained that Geek Squad delivery system and Best Buy system don't talk to each other. Then what's the point in scheduling in the BB app when you buy?! Manager said Geek Squad is a separate entity altogether and he can't make them deliver on a timeline. He assured it shows Tues for delivery in the Geek Squad system and it's already in the warehouse. I explained there's a reason I chose a Sat for delivery as I'm off work on the weekends and I don't want to take off of work for a five hour delivery window...but I don't have much choice. Well...Monday night I logged into the BB app to make sure I'm still scheduled for Tuesday delivery and it says I have to call and schedule my delivery!! What the heck Best Buy and Geek Squad?! Poor management and communication with customers. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

This review is for the Geek Squad in Dothan, AL. This is one place, I will NOT be returning to. The "Squad" are completely unprofessional, irresponsible, and lazy! We recently brought our laptop in to be fixed seeing it was under warranty from Best Buy. The people have no conversational skills at all, and considering they work with customers, I think they should learn some! It took over 3 weeks to get our laptop back after being sent off- along with our power cord. Go in to pick up our laptop, and they forget our power cord. The women goes to the back for 10 minutes "looking" for it, and comes out with a cord that clearly was not ours (ours WAS brand new) and places it on the laptop hoping I wouldn't notice. I said that it wasn't ours, and I'd much rather have the one we brought with the computer, seeing the one she gave me looked like it was 10 years old!!! She said "Oh, well it will work.. I mean, its the same thing....". No. That is completely unacceptable to me. She put in an order for a new one for us and sent me on my way. I get a call 2 hours later saying she found ours and was sorry about that and expected me to drive 35 minutes back to Dothan to get it that day! Well, went back in 3 days later to pick up "our powercord", only for the guy to walk around trying to find it for another 10 minutes, comes back out with ANOTHER one that was not ours and was CLEARLY used and abused saying that this will do, he can't find ours, but sorry. NO! Needless to say, after taking that cord, then going to a manager, they still have no idea where OUR powercord went, but were able to give me a brand new one out of some other HP laptops box. As she was attempting to place the blame on the place they send the laptops out to be repaired, she kept making me feel like I was being an annoying customer, when in reality I just wanted to let them know how unprofessional and unorganized they really are. Avoid this place at all costs if you can, and if you have to go through them, make SURE you label your stuff with your name somehow or put it in a bag that will not get lost. read more

During Christmas shopping, I needed to pick up a few things at Best Buy. I stayed in the store around 30 minutes and was appreciative to be asked for help a couple different times, however, I knew what I was needing to get and did not need the help. Only thing that did not make my experience a 5-star one, is that only one rep was working the cashier and customer service had a long line thus making the check-out time extended. I have been a Best Buy customer for years, spending thousands of dollars per year in their stores. I am even an Elite Plus Member. Four months ago I purchased a tablet with keyboard in the same box for my granddaughter. Since she is six years old I let them talk me into a service contract for three years. They said that if they did not have that tablet any more and if they could not repair it that they would replace it with another tablet. Well it is broken, now and they say that they can not repair it, their solution is to refund the money in the form of an in store credit and that is only for the tablet, not the keyboard that will not work with any other tablet and was in the same box at the time of purchase. Looking at the box now it has a skew number for the bundle that I bought, a skew for the tablet and a skew for the keyboard. This was an outright intentional deception on Best Buy's part. So for a $159.99 product they want to refund $139.99 and not prorate the over 2.5 years left on the $98.16 contract. The manager that I spoke with, Lakesha Snell said, that fulfilled the contract. When I told her that that seamed like common thievery she told me to leave the store. Other employees that we have dealt with in the past jaws were open when they heard that we were told to leave. I called Best Buy corporate, they said that they were sorry for the way the manager acted but this would fulfill the contract. So I must return to the store and purchase something, using my pittance from the extended warranty and my last rewards points. Basically I paid $258.14 for the product and warranty, that I used $10.98 of and I am getting $139.99 that I have to spend in Best Buy. Even though I paid for three years of a protection contract I only received 4 months of it and they consider it fulfilled. It does not seam like much to loose a Best Buy Elite Member for, does it! I would beg you not to shop at Best Buy, but if you do, don't be taken in by their deceptive practices. read more

I went in at 11:30 am and store was not busy. I asked where cameras were located and was directed to the correct section. The associate for that section (male, grey hair, ponytail) saw me go to the cameras and walked away. A few minutes later he came back to computer station on camera row and a couple young ladies asked him for help. He got on his computer terminal and helped them while I waited. I looked at all cameras, accessories, etc. Everything in that aisle while he flirted and made conversation with the girls. I squeezed past them and walked to center aisle. I stood there for several minutes and finally asked a passing associate if they could help me with cameras. He told me I had to be waited on by the grey haired associate because it was his area. I waited again... Another associate walked by and I stopped him and asked for help with cameras. He said he would try. As we walked past the associate in the camera aisle still talking to the young ladies he said something to the associate with me that this was his aisle. The associate with me said I had asked him for help. The grey haired/pony tail said he didn't see me. I told him I had been standing and walking all around him and that he HAD looked at me. He gave us a snarky look and went back to the young women. Now the associate could not help me with my questions about what came with the camera I had selected and said he would have to go find someone else to help me. I told him I would just place my order online as this instore experience had become an ordeal. It is not worth the effort to go to this brick/mortar store. Go online! read more
