BEST BUY COMPLAINT ON FACEBOOK I have a complaint that I want management to hear and anyone else who might be listening. You took a big step down in my book today. About 10 days ago I placed a small on-line order to ship to my house. A package arrived a few days later but it was not what I ordered. Your website advertised that wrong items received could be returned to a store. I had other business on the same block as the Best Buy store today so I took the item with me and handed it to customer service. They dialed some internal number to officiate the return and either refund my intended purchase or ship it anew. Sounds pretty simple so far? The person that customer service called needed some info from me so they handed me the phone. I explained to the voice on the other end what needed to happen. I was on the phone with him for a good 30 minutes. I thought this should have been a pretty simple operation. He said I can't leave the box at the store. I have to take it home and ask for a shipping label. OK, this is 3 strikes and you're out. Strike 1) you sent me the wrong item, strike 2) you would not take back the wrong item at your store, strike 3) I wasted a good 45 minutes at your store today trying to clear up your mistake and all you did is add insult to injury, saying I have to take the item back home and ship it back to you. Strike 4) your customer service people are incompetent and uncaring. My opinion of your operation dropped all the way to the basement today. Unbelievable how you could complicate such a simple process and put the burden on the customer. You should be bending over backwards to please the customer. The item you shipped me cost about 7X what I ordered. Maybe I'll just keep it. read more

I'm through with Best Buy. I waited on three appointments for a TV installer and set up person. Three times this person did not show up and never even called me. This was over a week. I had to go to the store three times to get anything done. One manager helped me as best he could; the other could care less. The third party company hired by Best By to install TVs (Geek Squad was booked weeks in advance) was unprofessional and sent people who were not familiar with the product. It took two people on two separate visits to almost set up my TV properly. I have canceled all further tech contracts with this store. Best Buy is NOT! Very frustrating. read more

This store was probably the most disorganized experience I have ever seen. I ordered an apple watch to pickup here, and my card was charged. I then got a text saying that they didn't have the item anymore. I went in, and not a single employee actually knew what they were doing. Ended up not leaving with the watch, even though in their system, they had one left in stock. But no one could find it. Overall very poor experience! read more

Went into this Best Buy a couple nights ago after having just left a competitor's store. I was seeking to price out remote-starter options as a gift, which took me all of 5 minutes in the other store. I walked into the Best Buy, then found a supervisor-looking person and asked if someone could assist me. He told me he'd get someone and that I should head back to that section. 10 minutes of pacing later, that supervisor and I made eye contact, then he came over to let me know he "hadn't forgotten about me" and the guy who could help me would be right over. 10 more minutes of pacing later, a completely different guy than the one the supervisor said would come over came over. I asked a few questions he didn't have answers to, then he walked me over to a computer terminal and we looked at BestBuy.com together. In the end, another 15 minutes later, I had no more information than I had when I entered the store because this guy didn't know which parts went with each other or how much "materials" for installation would cost. He suggested I call back the next day and talk to their automotive guy. I'm currently on hold with that same Best Buy, and have been for 17 minutes. It seems that you can't walk in and get help or call to get help. So I think I'll take this purchase elsewhere and use this as a reminder every time I'm tempted to give Best Buy of Boulder another chance. :( read more

I went to the Best Buy in Boulder on two different days to get a Fitbit and the employees on both days were extremely unhelpful, giving me virtually no information about the products, and the few statements they did make (about features, pricing etc.) were all incorrect. read more

I walked in ready to ask where to find what I was looking for. There were 2 employees to the right by a stand. I walk up to them, make eye contact, and they just continue to talk to each other. I wait a minute and they dont even acknowledge my existence. I walked away and luckily found a different employee who was really nice and helpful. I've been to this store a few times, but haven't returned since. Customer service is *generally* bad. I've met really nice people, but also (and more often) met rude avoidant people. You can't walk into the store and expect to be helped. You never know what attitude you will be faced with. read more

Cannot even begin to express my disappointment with customer service and the manager at this store. I ordered an HP printer to be shipped to my address in Gunbarrel a month ago and it never arrived. There was never any record of the package after August 14th. Needless to say UPS is responsible too, but after going in person to inquire about my package, they refused to give me a new printer even though the new one was lost until they received a refund check. They are the ones responsible for losing the printer, and yet they cannot simply give me a new one, after I already paid for it? The refund check apparently has not arrived there anyway, so they are keeping me in a continued standstill for who knows how long. Very, very unfortunate situation. read more

I signed up for in store credit card to get a discount on my purchase but got home and read the fine print and learned it was not a discount but more like points of some kind. I suppose it's buyer beware but I ended up with a new credit card and a pull on my credit score a benefit that is unclear. Not a great experience. read more

This review is less about this specific location and more about Best Buy itself. I just want to make sure that my neighbors are taken care of ;-) The products and service provided were excellent; however, Best Buy in general has a very lame return policy. As a result, I'm left with a product that cost $100 but is totally useless to me. It wasn't Best Buy's fault that I bought the useless product, mind you, that credit goes to an idiot DirecTV installer. However, Best Buy's return policy is well below that which you'll find in other stores. So go ahead and shop Best Buy but Buyer Beware... know what you need, wait until you actually need it and know the return policy. read more

Not a huge surprise all of the electronic stores in the nation are going out of business. Over priced items, poor customer service, and unnecessary hoops to jump through have forced consumers to shop online. I typically shop online for electronics, but due to an exclusive pre-order I had to shop at Best Buy. For "convenience" I opted for "in store pickup." Bad mistake. Hoops, bureaucratic bull, and unstated policies make this a bigger hassle than waiting days for an order to arrive in the mail. In store I was told my order has a hold. Online I am told the store needs to confirm inventory. Their 888 number tells me the order is good to go and to just talk to customer service. After a failed attempt to pick up an order in store a customer service representative insinuates there may be some "fraud checks" that need to be completed in order to obtain my product. I have them call the 888 number and their story changes. I leave scathing and empty handed despite the charge on my credit card. Upon arriving home I call customer service and they explain to me that they had a lot of orders when I placed mine and they do not know when my item will be available I just need to wait. The only reason I chose "in store pickup" was for and advertised convenience. This apparently translates from Best Buy to English as nothing but hassle. Last time I order from Best Buy. Last time my family orders from Best Buy. Do not waste your time. read more

I've been a Best Buy shopper for many years and shop here pretty often. You can usually catch a good deal if you watch for sales and if you move (I.e. change your address) you get an awesome 10% coupon in the mail that applies to everything in the store (it even worked on an iPad I bought last summer). This summer we came in to purchase a car stereo and install after shopping around. We came in a found a good piece that was on sale but they weren't able to install same day so we had to come back. When we purchased the equipment we specially asked the sales associate if we had everything we needed and they confirmed. Unfortunately, when we came back for install we had a surprise additional $70 costs for some pretty vital pieces. When we asked why this wasn't shared before we made the purchase (as these costs would have clearly affected our decision to buy here) we were told that the sales floor has no idea of what the workshop can do and is needed for an install, and that this happens often. You can imagine we were not thrilled with this "tough luck" answer having done our due diligence to assess the true costs. Fortunately, we were able to come to an agreement with the workshop and the manager to only pay $20 of the unforeseen costs. I have no complaints with the work done on the vehicle. Now with all its vital parts it works well and my husband loves his Bluetooth ability to stream music and make calls from his car. I do think there is a cross training issue but it could have been a fluke, and, of course, is specific to this location. read more

I bought a computer, and it worked. Working right now, so, i guess they did a good job? But I didn't really talk to anyone, the lines were short. Return policy is a joke. Figure if you buy something, you wont be bringing it back. Pretty much the same everywhere I guess, as far as computers. Amazons policy might be better? I can't believe I'm the first person to review Best Buy, could it be their sinage? (see review below). I must have driven by this location twice looking for the best buy. My iPhone insisted that it was there, but I couldn't see it. I think I'm used to a certain kind of sinage (huge) and color (bright blue) because I just didn't see it. Turn right at Canyon and park behind the building. Each time I've been been the staff was extremely helpful and nice without being pushy to make a sale. I pretty much have bought all my electronic equipment from them because of the great selection and helpfulness of the staff. read more

This review pertains to the Geek Squad on January 31st - particularly Jon and Adam; I won't use their last names for their own privacy. My wife and I recently contracted with Best Buy to place 2 TV's on the wall. Initially, this seemed like a pretty straight forward installation, but, it has been fraught with starts and stops as I think the previous installer - although a very professional person - did not seem to be able to do the installation to our liking in the living room for whatever reason. That said, we had Jon and Adam in to install the bedroom TV and they also completed the installation in the living room. Talk about 2 of the nicest, professional, caring, and competent people! These guys made us forget that this thing has dragged on for a few weeks. That said, I would not hesitate to give The Geek Squad my highest reference; especially if you can get these 2 guys. read more

I have been dealing with their nonsense since March now, and I am so fed up. I bought a scooter there, it broke inside a month. Given a replacement- defective out of the box. Called in and was told to bring it to the store, and they would give me a refund to my card. Store manager refused in an extremely rude fashion. Called again, they said ok we will email him right now, bring it back and he will do it. No, he didn't, and was even more of a jerk about it. Finally told em to fuck off I because I was so mad. Now on the 3rd replacement and yet again defective and I still can't just get my damn money back. I don't want credit to a store that treats me this way, and I don't want a dangerously defective scooter. What a horrible experience. read more

I rarely leave reviews and when I do I leave positive reviews to give credit where it's due to hard working people/businesses. This is NOT one of those. AppleSupport booked me an appointment with the Geek squad at the Boulder Best Buy and explained to me the cost for turning my devices over to them, to have it sent in and repaired and let me know they would be the easier option, opposed to going into the Apple store because they were booked over 2 weeks out. I had two different iPads (that are covered with AppleCare) and have gone through this process two times before, so it wasn't my first time dealing with the Geek Squad at Best Buy (although I've only worked with the Longmont store) with the iPads. I came in a couple of minutes early to my appointment and no one was there to greet me until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment. So I stood there for 20 minutes without any help and when two guys finally came out and saw me standing there with the iPads they both looked annoyed and I could see they were going to be difficult to work with. They told me it would be $85 for each to send out, which was incorrect because according my AppleSupport, Best Buy Longmont, and the Apple rep that booked the appointment for me it would only be $49. The employee told me he was the only certified Apple Rep at that Geek Squad and the Boulder store had a different policy, where it would cost $85 each (incorrect.) He was extremely rude, he kept making snide remarks about having to do two different iPads. After being in there for 40 minutes and getting nowhere, starting no paperwork, and having two employees be very unhelpful they told me they just couldn't help. My AppleCare wasn't the right one (incorrect- there's only one) and they didn't work with it and couldn't help me with the iPads. They said maybe try to Longmont or the Westminster store, but they couldn't help me get an appointment over there because they didn't know any employees at the store and I would just be sitting on hold with them in the store waiting for them to help me make an appointment. We left the conversation with them saying "good luck," no thank you or sorry we couldn't help. Needless to say, I went to the Westminster store a couple of days later and worked with a very friendly, helpful employee and it took 15 minutes to check in both devices, I paid $49 for each repair, and went on my way. I will NEVER return to this Best Buy in Boulder because of this experience with the Geek Squad there and will never recommend it to anyone. Such a disappointment. read more

This review is strictly for the phone department. I can't say anything about the rest of the store's services. Today I spent over two hours in the store and still did not receive all the assistance I needed. I walked in and only spent about five minutes picking out my new phone and then proceeded to wait for someone to help me activate it. Two parties were already being helped so I waited patiently for about thirty minutes (not unusual at any busy Best Buy). One couple seemed very unpleased with the services as well and the employees seemed to be pushing blame onto the phone company. This couple had iPhones and Sprint plans and there phones that they bought at that store hadn't been working for days now. Also, this couple was at the store before I arrived and they were still there after I left (a huge red flag). When I was finally helped the man who was assisting me didn't know exactly what he was doing at times (also not unusual for most Best Buy locations). He was nice but by the time he finally set up my phone he simply handed it to me and asked me to turn it on and said he was going to help the other couple for a while. This is unusual because they typically activate the phone for you and make sure everything is running smoothly first. I sat there trying to figure out what to do on my phone for about another fifteen minutes with no luck. The original man never checked on me and another employee came over and asked me to move so he could help someone else. I stood up and stayed close by, not wanting to leave until my phone was ready for sure. In short from here, I spent the next hour going back and forth between the phone section and regular customer service all the while getting little to no help from anyone. While I was waiting back by the phones the original employee who "helped" me asked if everything was alright and I told him it wasn't. He continued helping the couple and when they finally left (also annoyed) he helped another man and ignored me. I waited and waited and waited and no one ever helped me again. I finally couldn't wait there anymore so I had to leave the store with all kinds of questions and still none of my contacts synced. This is not my first poor experience at this store but it will certainly be my last experience with them, period. I would not recommend this Best Buy to anyone. It's small and the options are very limited and no one is very helpful at all. It's worth driving out of Boulder to another store location. I sincerely hope you take my advice seriously. They should shut down this store. It's totally useless. read more

Terrible customer service. I have been back and forth with three Best Buy's because they messed up my order because of discrepancies in their inventory. I went out of my way to get to this one because on the phone they told me I can switch a delivery to pickup. The man acting like it was me who messed up my order and was talking in a very condescending and dismissive tone. At the end he just hands me a receipt. I have to ask him where my order is for him to tell me to come back in an hour because it's not ready. read more

Not the best experience. Went in to get new speakers for my car and a month and a half later, they've blown off my second installation appointment. For some reason, they also sent back all of the parts that they ordered because I never "picked them up", although they were for my original appointment, nearly a month ago. I walked out with a full refund and need to find somewhere else to go. The service tech was helpful and I could tell he felt bad. I'm pretty sure their IT system is broken, because I have the confirmation email for that day and time. read more

Beware: We purchased a small laptop (Lenovo Yoga) in September 2016 for $500, and two months later on the Black Friday sale it was priced at $745. Checked online and other retailers are selling it for the higher price as well. Goes to show that retailers either fix prices or Black Friday is just a giant scheme. Occasionally I do find things at this store that are well priced, but it's usually small stuff like USB sticks when they are on sale. Otherwise just about anything can be found much cheaper online or at the Target and Costco nearby. For me this is a good store to go to find out what's new and to play with it, and then buy it elsewhere. read more

In general I like the Best Buy in Boulder on 30th Street. They have a good selection of products and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I must warn readers about purchasing the Lenovo Yoga laptop. It is a very nice laptop at a reasonable price. But the microphone does not work because of a software problem. Best Buy does not guarantee software issues. I would have to pay $150 to get the problem resolved. read more

I recently purchased a Lenovo Yoga 13 from the Best Buy in Boulder, CO. I spoke to Genevieve, who was very friendly, helpful, and owned a Yoga herself. Because it was not in stock, I ordered it to pick up at the store. I also purchased an extra 4 GB DDR3 since I was told the Yoga could fit a total of 8 GB DDR. A note was put in to install the extra RAM once my Yoga arrived. However, I was not informed when the Yoga arrived as I was told I would. I called the store 5 business days after I ordered it and they said it was there and ready to be picked up. Yet when I arrived at the store, the RAM was not installed as promised. I had other matters to attend to, so I did not have an hour to waste at Best Buy. After waiting and being told it would "be ready in 10 minutes" multiple times, I was informed that there was only one slot for an 8 GB DDR3 chip, not two separate slots. The store did not have any 8 GB RAM, so I had to order it and return the 4 GB chip I previously bought. I wanted to add this to the original total to finance it for 18 mo, 0% APR, but the representative told me I could not do that, which was frustrating considering it was Best Buy's fault I bought the wrong RAM in the first place. She could have returned the whole order and recharge it, but chose not to do that for whatever reason. I brought home the Yoga anyway, only to find that the keyboard did not work. I did some research online, and most people have had problems with both the trackpad and keyboard. I returned to Best Buy once again to have it looked at. Yet again, after waiting for about an hour for the Geek Squad to refresh the updates, it still did not work. It was submitted for repair for me to come back...yet again. I called the next day, after receiving an email saying the repair was completed and closed. However, I received a call saying the keyboard did not work still, so I would have to send it out for service or order a new one. I asked if I could return the current one and order a new one, expedited, since this was an issue on Best Buy's side. I was told I could not expedite the order, even though I placed the order online later that day and was able to expedite it myself. I went back, AGAIN, to return the nonfunctional Yoga, which took the rep a while to physically locate. She did not seem to know where it was and what the status of it was. Finally, she found it and returned it. A process that should have taken 5 minutes took about 20. I received my second Yoga, only to find the fan was not working properly. You would think Best Buy would quality check their products...I gave up on Best Buy in Boulder and went to the one in Broomfield. They gave me a new Yoga, installed my 8 GB RAM, and took care of all my discounts and coupons that I had in a MUCH more efficient manner than the one in Boulder. The entire experience was quite frustrating and I was told information that was simply not true by Best Buy customer service reps in Boulder, CO. Their lack of communication and general unawareness of products they should be familiar with caused quite a few issues on my, the customer's, end. I would think that because of the complications I have experienced, Best Buy would do anything it could to maintain me as a customer. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Oh, and I complained nicely to Best Buy over a month ago...my issue STILL has not been fully dealt with... read more

BUYER BEWARE - the worst Best Buy in the country - needs to be. Does not answer Geek squad calls and actually. I was told by one of the GS folks that they actually will rebox up preopened/used electronics and sell them as new. they do this because they are told not to send back to returns to the HQ and they are actually selling returned or problem electronics as new. you need ot ask if it is actually new or has it been used because they will not tell you. there are a few very honest and open employee's there - try to get one of the because they are really good. read more
