Frank is great to work with. Sets the expectations up front and finished ahead of schedule. Quality workmanship will use him again.

Fantastic job. Cody, Zach, Todd and the crew couldn't have been more accommodating…read more By normal standards, our job was on the larger scale with every interior room (4500 sq. foot ranch with finished basement) and outside work (front porch entry, window trim and backyard 3 season room). The work was originally scheduled for late April but COVID, as with most everyday life, altered the plans. Teagan, the office manager, worked diligently with us to reschedule the job to a two week timeframe late June/July. For the interior, we selected 5 colors with the assistance of a design consultant included in the contract. Drywall patching and repair was included and Zach even swapped out the front door handles/hardware for us when painting the front door. Cody and Zach were personable, friendly, and listened to our vision of what we wanted to accomplish. Additional suggestions on decorative highlight work from Cody was just icing on the cake. We especially want to give a shout out to Todd, the crew foreman. Todd stayed late to review current day work completed and plans for the next day. He went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and make sure the job was progressing to our satisfaction. We would enthusiastically recommend HBP For anyone looking for painting work - big and small. If you are looking for a company small enough for a personable experience but large enough to do the job, HBP is the one.

Where are good companies nowadays…read more This company was unwilling to meet after hours whenever someone is out of work, which is fine understandable So I arrange to take the day off work when I had a doctors appointment so that the company could come out and provide a quote. Since I had an appointment, they said between 10 and 11 and I said 10 AM then called the office and spoke with a female office staff and told her that I had a doctors appointment so it would have to be 10 and she agreed this would not be an issue. Then when they did not show up at 10 o'clock, I called the office and spoke to the female office staff and she said she would try to call Cody. She called me back and let me know if she could not reach Cody by phone or text. Then at almost an hour late I tried calling again and they sent me this text Completely inconsiderate, considering someone took the whole day off work and they couldn't even notify you and just no-show when they clearly made an error which things happen but to just not show up is completely appalling Edit: yes unprofessional and unpleasant from the start from your end. Especially when your office staff is trying to reach you to communicate and find out an estimated time of arrival due to your customers having other appointments and you not responding to calls or text. So instead of making it right or communicating professionally, you just decide not to show up and waste someone's time when their time is valuable until I followed up. I did not get any response from you, which speaks a lot about you as a person and a business owner.

EDIT: Updating my previous rating as a result of Kennedy Painting reaching out. The owner at…read moreKennedy Painting called to talk everything out. I appreciate their professionalism and promptness with responding to feedback. He noted that they are ready to resolve any quality-related issues caused by the previous painter. This review is LONG, so in case TL;DR--they breached contract twice and I experienced a very unprofessional painter. I would have talked to the painter personally, but he left without saying a single word to me. So, a review will have to do. Unprofessional painter: I work in real estate and house renovations and I have never encountered a rude painter before. But I guess there's a first for everything. There was an issue with paying an extra $200 because the cabinet painter needed to roll extra paint on the cabinets to cover the streaks of wood coming through the white paint. The supervisor and I were able to amicably work things out and were very understanding of each other. The painter who worked on the walls did not think so. He interrupted our conversation by saying that verbal agreement means something and that I should have paid the extra $200 due to the work already being finished. The order of conducting business is always--estimation, work order, execution of job. Kennedy Painting did the job first, asked for the money, then offered to write a work order. If I didn't sign off on anything, that means I did not agree to the job. I appreciate that they did the extra layers of paint. But I didn't agree to it nor did I know when it was being done. This is why there's a WRITTEN form of agreement. After we had the disagreement, the painter stomped around upstairs and talked loudly on the phone. My husband said that the painter tried to get the $200 from him when I left for work. When I got home, my husband said the painter suddenly changed his attitude, and he left without saying anything to me. (Hopefully never to be seen again by me.) Breach of contract (twice): 1) I came home to see that my couch is dusty. My piano is dusty. My tables are dusty. My kitchenware is dusty. It clearly states in the contract that the furniture and items in the house would be covered with plastic. I talked to the supervisor about it, to which he said he'll tell the painter to do so when he gets back. When the painter came back, my husband had to ask him to cover the furniture. The painter was already sanding the walls without covering anything up. 2) The contract also states that the furniture would be put back to place (excluding electronics). The furniture was not only dusty but still in a heap in the middle of each room by the time he left. In conclusion, their painting was fine. But with $6,000, I could have found a painter that was not holding a personal vendetta against me, because I did not wish to pay an extra $200 for something I didn't sign off on.

I wanted to follow up on my previous. Shawn from Kennedy painting reached out to me after I posted…read morethe review. He was concerned about the work that was done and informed me the work carried a two year warranty. He met me at my house and understood my concerns. He sent a crew to fix the problem areas and all is good. Its great to see a company stand by their work. I would definitely use them again. Steve M
