I was lucky enough to take a family trip to Italy from the US. As someone who has only ever bought off-the-rack suits from department stores, the number one item I really wanted to purchase there was a bespoke Italian suit. I was excited to pick out the fabric, stitching, buttons, and all the minor details. As they took my measurements, I trusted that the tailor was doing their job correctly. After all, I'm not a tailor myself and impeccably fitting suits is why you seek out an Italian tailor. After taking my measurements, I paid for everything (around $2,000) and since I wasn't staying in Italy for a month, they had to ship it to me. Unfortunately, when the suit arrived, it didn't fit at all. As you see from the pictures, the waist was about 2 inches too big, and the suit was about 1.5 inches too big in the torso. Given that these are the most basic of suit measurements, it made me suspicious of what other items aren't fitting as they should, like the hips, back, underarms/side, etc. I'm no fashion expert, so would need to rely on the tailor for those fine tuned measurements. But like I said, if they don't know how to measure a waist or a torso, what do they know how to measure? When I emailed them and asked for them to work with me on a return or other type of refund, they had the audacity to say that they made the suit to measure, and that I must've done something to change it, and asked for me to send pictures. I sent the pictures, along with follow-up calls and emails, but they have not responded at all. In sum, don't go here. They don't know how to measure or make suits, and definitely won't work with you if they make a mistake. Unless you want a $2,000 drying rag, go somewhere else. If I could give no stars I would.
