I stopped by for an inexpensive cooler to carry some seafood home. They had the perfect cooler for only $5. The clerk was helpful and friendly. I looked at the surf supplies and another clerk immediately asked if I needed assistance. The fishing gear is unbelievable. And kayaks, they carry everything. I could have spent all day in there. They rent surf boards, paddle boards, bikes and sell fishing licenses and can even set up fishing charters. They are locally owned. They offer free parking. I'll be back on my next visit to Surf City.

I am a novice and was asking some questions about what would work and what is running and what type of equipment would I need to begin a new hobby, on the bays, shore fishing and maybe someday kayak fishing. Double Sweet Indeed…read more We were down in Topsail, NC for a week and I wanted to give my nine year old daughter, Lydia, the best end-of-summer vacation. I signed her up online, easy, and got up early on Wednesday to go surfing. Cody was her instructor and he was wonderful and attentive to all of my daughter's questions and chattiness. After sand lessons and safety instructions they went into the surf. My wife and I were completely surprised to see Lydia stand up and ride her first wave for a good 30 feet. Yew! We kept the board for two additional days and my daughter continued to shred and amaze her cousins and our neighbor beachgoers. I highly recommend Surf City Surf School to one and all.
