I received a registration ticket in my mail I went to court to fight it because I was told by DMV,DOT, FMCSA i was ok to drive a truck with out of state plates because I have a commercial license and Interstate motor carrier permit . before I went to court I filed a complaint with Internal affairs and contacted the officers Captain after doing this within days I got the second ticket for the same thing by the same officer at that time I realized I wasn't even driving the time of the second ticket , I then did a request for the officers work schedule as I suspected he wasn't on duty the day he wrote the second ticket and that it was retaliation for pleading not guilty for the first ticket I contacted the Captain again he said he would talk to the officer . I appeared to court for the first ticket and right away I could tell the officer was in with the judge to find me guilty the judge would not listen to anything I had to say and wouldn't consider my commercial lic and permit to drive with out of state plates . I asked the judge to hear the second ticket and I know the Captain told the officer I had his work schedule for evidence on the second ticket the judge yelled at me and denied my request he fined me the maximum . Then when I went to pay the ticket the clerk told me the judge had put a flag on me ! Two days after I was in court the officers sergeant called me and said he is going to continue to have me cited I asked him are you targeting me are you threatening me ? So I knew I needed to find a lawyer to appear with me in person for the second ticket I called several other lawyers they all would not appear with me and wanted to go take care of it themselves I realized the whole system is done behind doors as I have heard in the past I would like to mention I am in my 60's and never had a ticket not even a parking ticket the Captain even said that is unheard of I also told him the sergeant had called and threatened me he said that's not right I will have a talk with him also ... I then contacted William I explained in depth the situation I told him I need a lawyer to stand next to me in court and object to the rejections the judge would have . William asked me what officer and what judge was I going up against I told him , he never told me he knew this officer and had his personal cell phone ! I made it perfectly clear what I wanted him to do in court and he said he would be there and that he had another client in the same court at the same time I wouldn't have hired him instead he agreed to appear in court in person and object to the judges decision of not considering my evidence . The night before the court date William called me and said he can't make it to court I said no you agreed to appear in person , the next morning I was there I see the officer walk in the court house then William calls to tell me the officer told him he is going to appear I asked William how he knew he said I just talked to him I am friends with him I told him he was violating our agreement , I then asked the balif what now he said I don't have to be there I was pissed the balif said my lawyer submitted my evidence already through the online portal I felt it would be better not to go into the court room because I knew then I was being railroaded so I left , then I find out William didn't submit my 9 pieces of evidence he only submitted my DL ! William claims he wasn't allowed to submit my evidence and that is a BIG FAT LIE this can be researched on google or CHAT. The judge doubled my fine it was just under $1000 for a person with a perfect driving record ! The officer knew I had obtained his work schedule he told the judge he was on his way to work when he wrote the second ticket that was on a Saturday he didn't have to be to work until Monday ! Then later I find out the officer got my phone number either from the internal affairs complaint or possibly from William and I caught him tracking my cell phone , I called the Captain again and told him , he informed me that he needs a search warrant to do that and he didn't have one , the Captain said he would have another talk with him . William I know you will read this I will continue to write reviews about you unethical practice and inform the public or you can return my money I paid you and pay my fine and I will go away but until then I will continue to let people know how low you are . Recnetly I heard the officer was offered early retirement and in 17 years on the force he never took a vacation what does that say ? I told the Captain this type of behavior makes the public loose faith in the system and when judges and Lawyers play along it bad .

I paid a significant amount of money for private representation because I wanted an attorney who would know my case, communicate with me, explain my options, and advocate for me. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite. Communication was terrible from the beginning. Before my arraignment, I was initially told my court date had been taken off the calendar. Later that SAME DAY, my bail bondsman called to tell me I had missed court. I frantically called H Law Group and was then told that I actually DID have court and needed to rush to the Vista courthouse. I was also told there might not even be an attorney available to appear with me. My first thought was: what exactly am I paying for? My second court appearance was even worse. I arrived at 8:30 a.m. and sat at the courthouse for approximately THREE HOURS waiting for my attorney, with virtually no communication from the firm about where he was. I eventually learned he had car trouble. Things happen, but there was absolutely no reason I couldn't have been notified. Once my attorney, Tino, arrived, what happened next completely destroyed my confidence in the representation I was receiving. He appeared unfamiliar with important details of my case and referenced specific counts without explaining what they meant. When I asked what the counts actually were, he had to look them up. I also had to remind him about the anti-theft course HE had instructed me to complete as mitigation. Most concerning was the plea discussion. Tino came out and told me the prosecution was offering TWO MISDEMEANORS. I had to ask HIM whether that was a good deal and whether I should take it because I was receiving almost no actual guidance. He told me it was a good deal, went back to speak with the prosecutor, and then returned and told me he had "misspoken." The offer was actually a FELONY and a misdemeanor. That is not a minor misunderstanding when someone is relying on you for representation in a criminal case. Afterward, I called the firm and asked to speak with management. I was told Brady or Connor would call me back. Instead, the next call I received was from their BILLING department asking for more money. When I requested a refund, I was told I wasn't eligible because Tino had supposedly done "significant work" on my case. Management also told me at one point that I had originally been facing seven felonies and that Tino had reduced them to one. That did not match my understanding or the charging information reflected in the paperwork I had received, which only added to my concerns about how well this firm actually knew my case. My issue is not simply that I didn't get the outcome I wanted. My issue is the repeated lack of communication, conflicting information, difficulty reaching my legal team, apparent lack of preparation, and lack of meaningful legal guidance during decisions that could seriously impact my life. I hired private counsel because I wanted to feel MORE informed and MORE protected during an incredibly stressful situation. Instead, I repeatedly found myself wondering what I was paying for. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend H Law Group. If I could do it over again, I would save my money and find different representation.
