The teachers are really nice and its located near the Opera which is central. You get more Bang for your Buck at this school. I've tried schools with bigger class sizes but to be able to learn french you have to speak it and well when you are in a room with 25 people you wont get too much of a chance.

The location is ideal, near Opera, next to the tiny japanese district. It has a good reputation among foreigners because it is one of the cheapest school. Plus they do quite a lot of adverts and sponsor artists, though no money is involved. All the teachers are speaking native language, and the course policy implies the exclusive use of the studied language. Good point. Teachers are said to be of various level but mine is perfect for 4 years, and the turnover is low. Japanese is taught following more or less the Minna no Nihongo workbook. Good point too. Throughout the year, AAA sets events according to the calendar, plus regular language exchanges. Very good point because a language has to be learned outside of books too. It's also one of the few schools having late courses at 8pm. The bad points are seldom: classrooms, material, furnitures and interior are cheap and sometimes dirty. There's some turnover in the administrative staff which is sometimes not very helpful. Free WiFi though. To sum up: a very good school to learn languages and meet native people. It's not shiny bling-bling but people do their job with dedication. Definitely a good recommandation, specially if you look for a good value-for-price japanese school.

I had two instructors, Jacqueline and Agnes, and both were very good. Jacqueline is more dynamic, Agnes more reserved, but both are outstanding. I am retired, but there were students of all ages. I doubt there are markedly better schools and the quartier is hard to beat - I walked across the Champs de mars every day to class.

They have several different levels you can choose from. If you want to take a less intensive course of 20 hours a week you can do that or you can take the intensive course closer to 40 hours a week. They also have courses for business professionals as well. It is full immersion...no English allowed! They teach by living it, you are learning by songs, poems, acting out skits, they give you different worksheets for homework and lots of talking in the class. You have no choice but to learn French. On top of that you live there so you are able to use the language in your everyday life. I went from VERY beginner to intermediate in just a few months. The other nice thing is that you change teachers every week, and you change classes according to your speaking level...if you need some more work you stay in the class, if they think you can move on they change your class. They can help set you up with a family to live with or you can just find an apartment like I did. There is also a metro station right next to the school so it is easy to get to...along with that the area has tons of shopping and small cafe's all around it. The pizza place next door is amazing!!! I met so many cool people here that I still keep in touch with and have met up with since leaving the school. They have students come in from all over the world so you meet an awesome group of people. If you want to take a French immersion class this is really the place to do it! This type of experience will change your life for the better

She encouraged me to parler francais as much as I could. She also spent time walking and talking and enjoying Paris with me. We shopped at at fresh produce market, ate some wonderful eastern foods and toured a small musee in Montmarte! I stayed in a great little hotel just blocks from her apartment. I planned my stay around her location and was not disappointed in the neighborhood, her tutoring or my entire experience! I know I returned home a little more comfortable with my pronunciations. I would recommend Caroline as she structured her lessons around my needs and comfort level.

Highly recommend Caroline if you are looking to work on your French while in Paris. I just finished…read morea two-week intensive (90 min sessions, M-F) and found it very helpful for advancing my conversational French. Caroline quickly adapts the coursework to areas that will help you improve the most, so it really feels like every minute is used wisely. We worked through advanced grammar points, brushed up on some basics, and also worked through vocabulary for everyday situations which I put to work immediately while on vacation. She is very responsive over email and very kind and helpful in person-- I sent her an email from the US a few weeks before my trip and was able to schedule all of the sessions in advance. Looking forward to studying again with Caroline next time I'm in Paris!
