Stayed here for one night in June. Online the rooms looked spacious, modern and worth spending 1390 NOK per night on (about $230).
When we got there the hotel looked promising from the outside and the lobby was nice and modern in a rustic kind of way. But when we arrived at our room it was tiny, old-fashion and simply just four walls with a bed, tv and small bathroom. Not worth spending money on at all!
The hotel breakfast was mediocre - OK food but everything was stone cold and had obviously been sitting out for a while.
We also tried out the on site restaurant for dinner "Lauritzen og Bruse" where I ordered chicken wrapped in pancetta with veggies+sauce and my mom ordered the pesto-marinated, local trout on caesar salad. None of which were outstanding in any way; the chef had forgotten the pesto marinade for the fish and the "caesar salad" was simply one kind of chopped up green leafs. I also spotted my "exclusive" chicken sauce on the kitchen shelf in a cheap bottle from the local convenient store... Not worth $40 each. read more
