But it's beautiful summer weather and the evening trip around the city is interesting, though all in German. The breakfast buffet for seven euros was a gastronomic delight. Bathroom super. They had a double room and two single rooms to fit us all. I should have left then and cut my losses, but I stayed. My boys stayed together in the double on the first floor and my wife and I actually shared one bed in a single on the third floor. Who would leave there wife alone in a strange hotel? My reservation was for two nights, but I decided to leave. The hotel first wanted to charge me for all of the rooms even though they could not provide what they sold me online. I thought that they just were not ready for me because I came in late in the night (9pm) with two roll away beds to sleep 4 in room. They said they never do that. They wanted the price for all of the rooms. We discussed for a while, but the language barrier was a problem. I cut my losses even though they charged me for two days in a double. I am now happily in a great two room new apartment with a kitchen and off street parking for an extra 60 bucks.

Just happened upon this brewery quite by accident, only then realizing that it's on the must see…read morelist for any visitor to Quedlinburg. Place gets crowded towards the end of the week including weekends. Beer selection is quite good (restricted to serving their own) and the food is defiantly bold, rustic German fair. Hearty, hot and filling! Only downside is the following day (Sunday) I ate here, it tasted like they had just fried up some left-overs - slightly burned and a bit bland. Other than that, I will surely come here again.
