The manager asked me how the meal was and when I told him it was horrible he became angry and insisted that people come to the restaurant for their renowned burgers. We saw some outstanding reviews of this garden restaurant a little outside of the city (not more than a few miles). The food is classic Swiss and really outstanding. As the chef told us afterwards, it is not "fancy" Swiss food, but very high quality ingredients and done right. They have a lovely outdoor garden and on a Friday were busy but we got a seat right away. They have English menus and our waiter was friendly and helpful. Food was great: cordon bleu, osso bucco, steak, shrimp salad, mushroom toast. Desserts here are fantastic. Family-run and so welcoming. Worth a trip away from the city center if you would like an authentic, tasty and friendly Swiss eating experience.

At the time we arrived there were only few people but after an hour it got more crowdy. We ordered some great cocktails and the chili con carne, spaghetti carbonara and our son of 7 a child's portion spaghetti bolognese. The portions were huge and the food was great. Our waitress yanina was a little overwhelmed by the international guest and spilled a drink over our table. She was completely overstressed by this. Really funny though because she was a great host. This restaurant is one to remember, as our bill was less than 50 euro, and the food and service great. We will definitely come back if we are nearby.
