Museumsbrücke is a historic stone bridge in Nuremberg. It spans the Pegnitz River. So easy to cross from St. Lorenz and St. Sebald. Back in the day, it was essential as a link between markets, workshops, homes and churches in the medieval densely populated walled city. Today, it is a pedestrian way to get to several of the museums in Nuremberg.
It was originally built in 1484. The current stone structure dates back to the early 1700s. Love the Baroque pulpit-like structures with wrought-iron railings that display coats of arms from the 18th century.
So nice to stroll along this bridge. Love the picturesque views of medieval buildings along the river. A beautiful place to soak in the city on a sunny summer day.
