I thankfully took her recommendation and can say, hands down that I not only find Joel to be "one of the BEST", but without hesitation, HE IS THE BEST! I have needed his expertise in several real estate contracts and conflicts of contracts since then, and he is nothing short of AMAZING. He is so skilled, articulate, clear and for me, he possess what I consider to be a very important lost art in the legal arena, PATIENCE! (I know, I live with an attorney!) ... I have learned the hard way, as good as a realtor might be, they CANNOT protect and secure me with one of my largest financial assets such as a brilliant real estate attorney such as Joel R. Spivack can. I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else. I am so very grateful for him for I feel he is a dying breed of honesty and integrity, Always Thankful, Cie Abed Cuomo

I was represented by Scott Goldshaw and his partner for more than 12 years as a whistleblower. Over…read morethat time, they got to know my character well--something even recognized by the judge during trial. After prevailing in the case, I lost my job, career, health, and safety to retaliation. When I sought their help again, I was told to "move on," left completely abandoned while they collected nearly a million dollars in fees from my case. Since then, I have faced further violence, blacklisting, and threats, and made every effort to provide them with documentation and updates about my continued struggle for justice--including filings before the Supreme Court of the United States. Scott refused to even review what I had filed or learn what has happened to me since, dismissing my request for a simple statement or amicus letter, let alone even visit a website to help civil rights victims or whistleblowers! I now know that the abandonment I felt after my case was not just a suspicion--it's now confirmed by his unwillingness to acknowledge the harm or even review the facts. If you are a whistleblower or civil rights plaintiff, be warned: this firm profited from my work, then left me alone and unheard. Justice shouldn't end the moment a case concludes. As seasoned civil rights and whistleblower advocates, they know exactly what retaliation looks like. Scott knows better, and his response is morally bankrupt.

I met Scott Goldshaw on one of the worst days of my life. Scott brings a lot to the table when you hire him to help you, ensuring he is worth every penny. (1) He treats you like a human. I cried during most of our first week of conversations but he insisted on FaceTiming on day 1 so that he could let me see him and know that there was someone who cared on my team. It made an enormous difference to my ability to engage and survive in my own battle. (2) He is patient and thorough, making sure you not only understand your options but nudging you to consider them thoroughly. He adapted to my complex learning style after just a few weeks. (3) He's a brilliant strategic thinker who can help you find ways to win even when it seems like all is lost. At the same time he is willing to admit mistakes and open to others' ideas. (4) He writes well and cares enough to be sure that his communications are very clear and accurate so they are received as intended. This is also strategic and a winning move. (5) He is very clearly in law because he loves it and what it can do for people. I never had a single moment where I felt like a billable hour. I plan to work with Scott on all matters employment until he retires. I don't care what he costs, I know it will be worth it. I can't say that for any of the other lawyers I've ever hired, nor for many other professionals in my life. This high praise is extremely well deserved.

Our landlord then had the audacity to sue us instead of letting us leave peacefully even though, according to Philadelphia law, we had every right to break our lease. This resulted in us, with the help of Mr. Copoulos, filing a counterclaim. Throughout the entire filing-continuance-time consuming performance that reporting to court ultimately becomes Mr. Copoulos was easy to communicate with and constantly kept us abreast of any and all changes. Come time for court, which actually ended up going to trial, Mr. Copoulos genuinely exceeded my expectations with his line of questioning and cross-examination of both myself and my landlord. It was a tough case and I actually thought my landlord's lawyer bested me a few times but Mr. Copoulos was able to call bullsh&t and we came out on top. We were awarded our counterclaim and my landlord had to walk away with an extremely salty, yet magnificently sour face. Needless to say I was very pleased. It is worth mentioning that even if Mr. Copoulos had lost our case, he still would have gotten a five star rating as he really does know his stuff and seems to be an all-around solid guy. Plus, I found his cost to be beyond reasonable and that always helps. Bottom line: if you want great representation for a reasonable fee, go with Mark D. Copoulos.

We had to call and write repeatedly, but our sweet spot of opportunity evaporated. How is that our problem??? If he was too busy to take our case he sure wasn't too busy to take our money. I recommended Faigenbaum to assist my boyfriend's elderly parents and feel unbelievably upset that I wasted their money.
