We were on our way to the beach and excited about visiting this restaurant for lunch. Good reviews, nice television commercials showing the decor AND they accepted pets on the outside rear patio. Sounded perfect for a start to our trip. We were greeted and told to park at the rear of the restaurant where we could enter the patio. Limited lunch menu but that was okay. I chose the "Loaded Wedge Salad" and my wife chose the 'Italian Chicken Parmesan" sandwich. They were very accommodating and allowed her to switch out her fries for a side salad. From there it went downhill FAST!... They didn't have any iced tea. OKAY, we could deal with that. Got our drinks and were admiring the patio. Food was delivered after a long wait. I started eating and then discovered my salad had no crumbled bacon on it. Waited until I finally had to go inside and request the server to come out to us with the missing bacon and by now we needed refills on our drinks. I asked how her sandwich was and she responded with a bit "rubbery" and the slice of chicken could have been a bit more for the price. Meanwhile we had to fight off a barrage of flies from the nearby dumpsters that kept landing on our food. I think they enjoyed the food more than we did. Had to wait again for the server to refill my drink for a long time. They were not busy at all during the whole ordeal. We were the only people outside with one or two other tables inside. Thought they may give us a break on the bill.... no way. No apology. Still gave the server an (undeserved)15% tip. Giving them 3 stars for atmosphere and HOPING that any dinner customers would receive better service and food than what we received. About the food: Salad was pricey and I normally wouldn't complain if it was good but was disappointed. They need to step up the blue cheese dressing which seemed out of a jar with some crumbles sprinkled around the plate. Great presentation though... Sandwich was skimpy for the price. Thin piece of breaded chicken between a lot of toasted bread. Homemade... not sure, but was expecting it to be better for an Italian restaurant. GREAT side salad.... looked better than anything else we received. Thinking they were doing prep work for dinner. Need to pay more attention to customer needs as well. Excellent food, huge portions, and yummy drinks! Our waitress was lovely, very sweet and helpful. My only complaint was that service was initially a bit slow, understandably we were told, due to the ongoing labor shortage. We probably waited about 30-40 minutes to receive our drink orders (for four people), but luckily, sitting outside in their beautiful patio area made it somewhat more forgivable. Please note if you want to sit outside, you have to note that in your reservation. The inside is just as beautiful as the outside, so you can't really go wrong either way though. For starters, we ordered the mussels (pro tip: order with the white garlic sauce that doubles as dipping sauce for the bread) and octopus. So flavorful and delicious. I had the Tuscan Cioppino as my main dish, which was essentially a seafood stew served with linguini. This ended up being the best choice for someone like me, who has a notoriously hard time trying to decide what I want since it came with everything from shrimp to fish and snow crab. A little pricey overall but worth it and definitely one of the nicer restaurants to go to in Milford. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town! read more

Absolutely wonderful dinner with my best friend. Our food was delicious. Flavorful, creamy burrata sat atop crisp greens and autumn veggies and nuts. Our entree of pumpkin gnocchi was fantastic. The gnocchi were light little clouds smothered in a rich sauce that I almost licked off the plate. The pancetta was crunchy and the dish was perfectly seasoned. In fact, everything we had had a great balance of textures--creamy, crunchy, piquant, rich. The bread service was a lovely complement to the meal. We enjoyed an espresso martini off menu and then cocktails from the varied list. Every dish that came out of the open kitchen looked generous, delicious, and carefully plated. The atmosphere is nice but that's all I can give it. The menu is very seafood/shellfish heavy which is unfortunate when you have an allergy. I ordered a steak - it come out blue rare when I ordered medium well and it didn't have the Gorgonzola sauce I ordered. The potatoes were very salty - almost inedible. And they are very proud of their food judging by the price. I'm not sure I'll ever go back. I added a star, when they returned my steak it was a new one with my sauce. So that's good. read more

The quality and selection of food was excellent. The service was overall good, but a bit slow at times. Asked if I wanted my salad with my entree or before, I elected to have it with my dinner along with the other folks at my table. But, it still was brought early. While we had reservations and arrived on time, we still waited 20 minutes to be seated, dispite what appeared to be multiple empty tables in the dining room. From the time we stepped into this restaurant, we were impressed. They have definitely put a lot of work into the decor. Each room is based of a region of Tuscany. The food was fabulous. We enjoyed the pear goat cheese salad, short rib pasta, chicken Madeira, and lemon gelato. The service was fantastic and food as well. Portions were very large. They have a beautiful outdoor patio. Food is great don't order anything special about it the kitchen can't do it no matter how much you tell your server. Service was slow ordered only 2 rounds of drinks (bar was very slow) waiter was ok first was when we ordered appetizers the second was when the entrée came didn't get second round until after our food was eaten. We had troubles and the owner came and offered a free dessert because my food wasn't prepared the way I wanted it I didn't want anything paid full price. Then we left forgot the takeout container called for them to hold it not even 5 mins later they said they threw it out when I table across from us wasn't cleared for 20 minutes with takeout bags on the table. Milford has a brand new restaurant opened 2/13. Happy hour 4-6 p.m. half price flat breads . $2.00 off wine and craft beer. Open for Dinner 5pm to 9 pm Tuesday to Saturday. Drinks were served in raw noodles- (I personally didn't like it but that's just my preference) servers were not wearing masks and did not require them. I drive cross country, so I am on the road for the majority of the year. I came into Delaware and ended up having a day lay over. I found this Gem of a restaurant. Sitting at the bar area is the way to go; (trust me), you can watch everything being made. From the host/hostess to the cooks to the servers, this was one of the best experiences I've had in a restaurant in a very long time. I started off with a half dozen oysters on the half shell, and they were amazing, fresh, and full of flavor. The head chef (Chef Zeus) offered me a sample of his BBQ shrimp, and it too was amazing, just a little sweet and a little heat but full of flavor, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I spent the next 15 minutes trying to decide what to order. I decided on the grilled Salmon and I have to say hands down this was the best Salmon dish I have ever had and I've had hundreds, everything on the dish complemented each other and the flavor was to die for. They have a fabulous menu with the perfect amount of choices and options for any budget; you can come in and eat for 20-30 per person or as much as 100 per person. All in all, this was a truly great experience, and any time I'm in Deleware, I will 100% come in and try more of their fabulous options. read more

The restaurant is very nice and the service was excellent, but a good restaurant is more about the food. 3 of us had the chicken parm, one had a sausage dish another had a shrimp dish and another had clams over pasta. Every single one of us had the same reaction. No Taste! Italian food should have some garlic. Nothing. The tomato sauce was tasteless. The pasta with the clams tasted like dish soap. Terrific food in a wonderfully decorated space. We have eaten here several times and the food never disappoints; quite frankly, the best dishes in the area! Over the past year, the service has certainly declined, taking away from the gourmet meals and atmosphere. Our latest visit was marred by a very poor server who thought she was doing us a favor by serving us. While I certainly don't mind paying premium prices for premium food, I expect a level of service equal to the meal. We stayed in the area for a quick lacrosse tournament wknd and came across this wonderful restaurant. Slim pickings in the area by far so if you get a chance to eat here you'll be quite pleased! The restaurant inside was beautifully decorated and the outdoor patio was equally as beautiful especially given the picture perfect night. Our server, Kristen, was super sweet and attentive. Our table of five ordered mussels, crabcake app, octopus and steamed clams to start. For entrees we had chicken parmesan (big enough to serve two people), pan-seared salmon, Tuscan Cioppino, and shrimp over linguini. Everyone loved their dishes...the shrimp dish sauce was not as what was expected. Perhaps an Alfredo sauce would have been better but all in all everyone enjoyed their dinner. Anyone planning on visiting this restaurant should look at the menu online before going. This isn't a traditional Italian restaurant. It's an Italian SEAFOOD restaurant. 90% seafood dishes on the menu. Nothing vegetarian except a couple of salads. No traditional pasta items. If you're expecting ravioli, for example, you won't find it. Atmosphere: Friendly staff though we did wait nearly ten minutes before being approached after being seated. It's also somewhat noisy. The décor is nice. It's clear the owners worked hard to create a pleasant environment. Food: Most of what we ordered was well-received and those were seafood dishes. The crispy pear and green salad was fantastic. I would gently suggest that the chicken parmigiana needs an update. It's too dense/thick and the crusted outer portion had an unpleasant charred taste. Perhaps it could be prepared more like a chicken cutlet. The entrée, as it's served today, is unnecessarily big and pricey for the quality. Portion size in general should be explained to customers or somehow noted on the menu. Be sure to ask. Drinks: One of my friends asked about martinis, assuming there was more than just the traditional concoction. There wasn't. I'd expect a full bar to offer more choices.
