**A flawless experience from start to finish**…read more My daughter just completed her orthodontic journey with **Dr.Tan**, and I can't recommend him and his team highly enough. **Thoughtful, no‑pressure planning** Before we ever committed, Dr.Tan met with us for two complimentary assessment visits--about six months apart--to track my daughter's dental development. Both times he said, "Not yet," and sent us home with clear next‑step guidance. I appreciated the honesty and zero sales pressure. **Transparent pricing & flexible payments** When it was finally time to begin, the staff walked us through every cost, insurance detail, and payment‑plan option. They made it easy to choose a schedule that fit our family budget--no surprises later. **Expert care with a personal touch** My daughter started with a palate expander, and we received hands‑on training so we could adjust it confidently at home. When the braces went on, the entire team was incredibly patient with our sometimes‑anxious kiddo--hand‑holding and extra time when she needed it, but also the occasional firm reminder about the importance of good hygiene. (Braces are a partnership!) **Results that speak for themselves** Fast‑forward to today: her smile is stunning, her bite is perfect, and her confidence has soared. We're thrilled with the outcome and grateful for the professionalism, kindness, and consistency we experienced at every visit. Five stars only because Yelp doesn't allow six. If you're considering braces for yourself or your child, do yourself a favor and schedule a consultation with Dr.Tan--you'll be in the best possible hands!

Although he supervised my own work, he often performed procedures on my patients while demonstrating techniques. My patients appreciated his speed, especially when he would sit down to make things look so easy. Because he is a UCSF alumnus like myself, I know that he was trained well as it is one of the top dental schools in the country. Because I've seen him treat my own patients, I know he is a skilled clinician. He has mentored me through difficult cases that many general dentists do not have experience in. My brother was in need of a dentist in the Bay Area for a root canal and his previous dentist was not able to do the procedure. I immediately thought of Dr. Tapaltsyan. He was more than willing to accommodate my brother into his busy schedule, while also doing exceptional work. He called to check in that day and a week later to see how he was healing. It is not easy to find a well-trained, skilled, and compassionate dentist. I have worked under many instructors during my training at UCSF but I would trust Dr. Tapaltsyan with any of my family members and myself.

Update!!! Still love…read morethis place! Is weird that I feel like I am just hanging out with friends when I come? Lol like I'm that weird patient that thinks she's family. My newest friends are Heather and Ashley. For anyone that is reading this, they can do a financial consultation for you! Whattttt?!? That's crazy above and beyond right there! Ashley was over here working a jigsaw puzzle to see how the treatments and appointments could align not only what Dr. Mead thought was a priority but what I myself thought was a priority. But also Heather even telling me about all the billing codes and how every company/employer and every insurance plan is very different and so many variations- who knew. I learned so many things in this one little visit. It was like I was back in school and eager to learn! My appointment with Dr. Mead was so funny too. Ok, everyone.. we all need to know about the Dawnson Academy. I now know that any other dentists I had prior to Dr. Mead should all be ashamed. Shake. My. Head. When your insurance bills for a comprehensive review, 99% sure you have not had one. That's crazy work. I've been on this planet for 38 years and I just had my very first comprehensive dental review. Anyways, I have an appointment again tomorrow for a cleaning so I'm sure I'll update more again because I think meeting Dr. Randy Johnson was seriously an icing on the cake today! He is a gemmmmm!

Heather is so sweet and has an amazing memory. She is so welcoming. Honestly, everyone goes above and beyond - from the front desk receptionist, dental hygienist and dentist - everyone. This will most definitely be my dental office of choice and I will refer everyone to this establishment. They truly make you feel like family. I also work in Healthcare and I would never ever ever treat a patient or potential patient or patient's family with the disrespect I was treated with AT COOK DENTAL CARE! I guess you have to look and sound a certain way to be a patient at COOK DENTAL CARE 9/10- In addition to the above review apparently your business also lacks integrity by denying the experience I had with your front desk person (your wife). I should have taken some pictures of his offices.
