My buddy and I just got out of the Army, this was a big trip for us to celebrate. We paid this…read moreguide a lot of money for him to put us into a good spot for mule deer. Did not see a single deer for 7 days. He assured us that we would "have trouble passing on good bucks, but had to hold out for the big ones." Then we went on to see zero deer. Completely oversold and under delivered. I am a hunter so I understand that is how it goes sometimes, and that he can't control the deer, but when you pay a guide that much money.....and then you don't see a single deer/elk/bear/wolf/mountain lion or anything for seven days...that's pretty terrible. They were nice people, but I would caution everyone against paying them. I don't normally do this, but again...we paid them a LOT of money and got absolutely nothing in return. I expected for him to invites us back, partial refund, or anything to try to right the wrong but he did not. If I had seen just a few deer then I would not be writing this. But zero animals, just squirrels and grouse. Again, they were very nice people but, take caution. I would take your business elsewhere.

They rescued our dream of a wilderness Drop Camp elk hunt. Not only did they fit us in for our planned dates, do all the leg work to get our tags (after previous outfitter lied about purchasing them), gave us locations where they had spotted elk in the last 2 weeks, along with Brandon and Danny giving us advice on how the elk were behaving and what was working for them on their guided hunts so far. This allowed 3 inexperienced elk hunters to get 4 bulls pumped up and 1 impressive bull with in range to only have smoke/darkness and 75+ degree heat foil the opportunity. Brandon and Angela along with Danny and Kendra gave us a successful and memorable hunt. All while honoring a price less than their own, only because "That's what's right, you didn't deserve what was done to you". They went above and beyond for us and that's why I feel like I have family in Idaho now. This is the only outfitter I will ever suggest to anyone who ask me. I can't wait to visit them again!
