It wasn't possible for me to go to the shop so everything was arranged with Ian on the phone and emails. The order was not straightforward due to involving a choice of fabric for the chairs and needing additional items such as safety bars and special bedding plus my decision to add a matching bed and chair for myself. Ian's knowledge and advice was invaluable and everything was delivered and installed very efficiently within nine days of my first enquiry. The chairs have been designed with tot many useful features for me to list here, I just recommend looking at The Bed Shop before considering other suppliers.

They stock all types of beds including adjustable & for special needs, mattresses, pillows, recliner chairs and bedding. They have an onsite factory to make or personalise your bed. I believe it is a family run business, the staff are friendly, helpful and informative. We were advised to take a elderly relative and ended up buying for our selves as well. The care and time they took was amazing. Discussing all aspects of possible back problems, sleeping habits, weight, height etc. Their prices are really good value, much less than other comparable products. There is parking on site.

I ordered a 4ft futon and mattress on Monday 2nd September. I ordered this item over others because…read moreof their 'guaranteed next day delivery'. I emailed to confirm the item would be delivered on the Tuesday and this was confirmed via email. I received a call from the next day at 4pm to say my item would not be delivered and could not be delivered until Thursday. As I had taken a day off to wait for the item to be delivered I was not prepared to waste another day of leave to wait and insisted I had the item delivered on Saturday. I should have been notified earlier in the day that the item could not be delivered instead of wasting my time. I waited all day Saturday until the mattress was delivered - without the base. I then had to wait until Monday to call up your customer services to complain that only half the item had been delivered. I spoke a representative and she told me only half of all items went out on Saturday - however if I had not called would I have actually been notified of this at all?! While she attempted to be accommodating I was given the choice of yet taking more time off work. She assured my I could have a morning delivery and that the second part of my item would arrive before 12pm. The base of my futon arrived at 12pm exactly. Eventually the base was brought to my door but -bashed about and left at my door. Clearly though despite your company relying heavily on delivery of your items, you take NO responsibility for the delivery. The box - while I saw no obvious damage was pathetically put together and I did not have anything in which to put the base together e.g. Instructions, bolts, allen key? I don't know. I spoke to another Customer Service Representative and she said she would have these delivered. I was then sent the bolts, without instructions. I called AGAIN and was emailed instructions, only then to see The futon needed LEGS. I called again and finally got these pieces. While phoning to complain I was told there were no managers. I was told because of the issues I had I could get 10% back £10 OR If I left a 5* review that day I would get £25. What a con. I was then put in touch with a manager - of which I was told did not exist. As this person only called at 8pm on a Friday evening, I've yet to discuss these issues with her. I've emailed and received nothing. I am more than unimpressed with the customer service, delivery and the quality of the product. I can not believe I've paid £100 for a bit of shoddy ply wood and pathetically thin mattress. Despite your claims of -next day delivery and quality products at good value - I feel absolutely conned and will be complaining to ebay about your trusted seller status. I have lost more money than I have paid for this item. I would return the entire item, however I do not want to waste any more time or £30 returning the item.

The premises extend over two floors and they have a wide selection of bed available, including orthopaedic beds. Although not to my taste the shop stocks a range of cane furniture, small tables, cupboards etc... and a selection of paintings. I must admit though the shop has been there for over twenty years it never seems to be busy (it does look rather drab from the outside, however I have seen their delivery vans out and about in Cardiff, so some people must be buying their beds!

The sales assistants are friendly and not too pushy. delivery times vary but most sofas apeear to come from China where they are made and so delivery times can be long and you need to be flexible about delivery to meet their needs as thye will only deliver when it suits them it wold appear.

He left us alone for a whole 5 minutes before prancing on us again! So, we informed him that we just wanted to have a look at some different mattress types (coil, latex or memory foam). Big mistake, as we then couldn't get rid of him at all and he dragged us to the most expensive items (obviously) in the store and kept on telling us what a great deal he could make us today and just today of course! In the end I had to be quite stern and tell him that we would not buy or make any deals today. Still, he didn't give up and told us to come back at the weekend as he could make us an even better deal then. Talking about bad sales technique! It was borderline on bullying! And I don't care what bargains they might have in the future as I won't be going back there.
