We attended the seminar and visited for the free consultation. Tom took our information and fee…read moreand then began the circus. We were leaving our estate to recognized charities and so asked for time to contact them as to the specific wording of the bequest. Once we had collected that information we forwarded it to the legal assistant to draft the documents. The first draft completely ignored the charities required wording. Second one was produced weeks later, still not accurate and missing pertinent information on the people selected for our Powers of Attorney, This required a phone consultation with a staff attorney. Another draft was produced with minor typos. Two months later we were able to sign the documents. We did not expect to have to proof read all the documents to be sure they were using the correct legal designations or to check for omissions and simple typos. We found the office to be unprofessional in its' work product and timeliness of producing documents (over two months from start to finish).

My favorite thing about Harris & Schroeder is that they offer a free initial consultation (but not…read morejust because it is free). The best part of the free consultation is that it allowed an opportunity to ask questions, get educated, and increase certainty in the direction I wanted to go and the services needed. This consultation can easily be booked online and can be held by phone or in person. I met Sarah Harris in her office and found her to be knowledgeable, patient, and thorough. I didn't feel rushed or like she was in a hurry to end our meeting despite the "free" nature of the visit. Sarah didn't try to sell me anything but took the time to listen to my goals and unique concerns before recommending a solution. In follow-up email conversations, she clearly answered my questions and always responded quickly. My second favorite thing about this firm is that their pricing is reasonable and clearly communicated. Whether a la carte services or a package bundle, Sarah shared pricing with me in the very first email exchange. I was extremely satisfied with my experience and feel I got a lot of value for the reasonable price I paid. This was not a case where every interaction was a billable event but I simply paid the price stated for the service purchased. All interactions and services could have also been done online, with no need to travel to their office. From document preparation, signatures and notarization, all was efficiently handled online. I have referred my real estate clients to Harris & Schroeder following my own positive experience and highly recommend Sarah.
