Being an old building, we could hear people in the hall faintly. (Not unexpected) In the morning, there was yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, boiled eggs, coffee meat and cheese. Morning staff was super friendly and kind. Parking was great around the hotel as well. (We had a truck with a camper attached and had no trouble finding parking) Would stay again for sure!!

So very nice to have such a quality venue on the south side of town. Having been an event planner for many years, I know what to look (or look out for) in a venue. I assisted my friend with her daughter's wedding at Alexander House last weekend. Aaron and Sheena were very flexible and professional. My friends were at ease with the process from the very beginning of the planning, thanks to Aaron's calming demeanor. Everything was delivered as promised...with a smile. The hard-working staff never stopped smiling and were very professional and easy to work with. This is not a cookie cutter, you must do it our way venue. Very refreshing for south of I-285! We decided to walk the gravel path, which you could drive on, that makes its way past some old signage of the battle that occurred here. The museum was closed during our visit. Nothing was open but we helped ourselves around. I imagined the battle field. The open green fields lead to a gulch and beyond rises another hill in the distance. You can see the companies fighting one another here and bodies littering the grounds with young men. Apparently they have re-enactments and weddings here too. Worth a visit if you have the time.

Aaron and Sheena were terrific from the tasting to the post-wedding dialogue. Aaron was very friendly, re-assuring, and helpful at the tasting (even recommending the florist we ended up using). Sheena prepared amazing food, much of which we chose to serve during the reception. At the reception itself, Aaron and his staff were exceptional. The guests were treated quite well and never had to wait long for food or a drink. Everyone commented on how amazing the food was and our special-order vegan friends were amazed that they got a delicious, full meal as they are used to eating undressed salads at most events. The party was still in full swing when they cleaned up to go and they were so unobtrusive and professional. We ended up keeping the bartender a couple hours extra because he was so good! I did say something to the front desk my first morning. Last night I went to use the cook top and could not get it off locked. So unable to use. There has been a lot of word crew staying which is fine. But the towels are not white anymore. They are a stained brown! All I did was wash my face with the one wash cloth and I don't wear makeup.
