My film production company rented Bennett Cove recently for a wrap party. We had approximately 75 people and everyone had a wonderful time. A few of us spent the night and it was extremely peaceful. Even though it is not far from Atlanta, it gives you a feeling of being "away." They had plenty of extra chairs and room for us to spread out. I made reservations for a wedding for the weekend of October 12, 2019. I put down a $500.00 deposit. (no contract, all verbal) There has been a change of plans for the wedding. I contacted Ted to see what could be done about a refund, since it is 4 months away. He said that the money could be used for a future event but couldn't be refunded because there is a $500.00 processing fee to cancel, per their policy. $500.00? I could understand if it were 30 days out, but it is 4 months away. *PSA* Always get everything in writing. If you book this venue, make sure that it is a solid event. It will cost you $500.00, if not. Expensive lesson learned! read more

The condition of the home was misrepresented. It was nasty. The home had not been cleaned. The floors were filthy. The linens on the beds were dirty. One our guest found a set of fake eyelashes in the sheets. All of the mattresses need to be replaced because they are covered with bloody stains. The bathrooms had not been cleaned. The toilets were dirty. The showers had hair and dirty soap scum caked on them. The dishes in the dishwasher and cabinets had not been washed properly. The refrigerators had not been cleaned out. The upstairs bedrooms were rat infested. There was a nest of rats living in one of the windows. There was rat feces covering the window seals in both bedrooms. Both rooms smelled like urine. You could hear them behind the walls. The couches throughout the house had not been vacuumed out and there was food and trash in the hide away beds. The sofa in the basement was broken and many of the chairs were unstable. Our guest would not stay the second night due to the inexcusable state of the home. I spent several hours cleaning the home when we arrived as best I could with the limited amount of time we had because we were expecting 80 people for my mother-in-laws 70th birthday party the next morning. It was not a pleasant experience. When I tried to Communicate with the property manager after our event, I received no response. He would not email me or call me back. I have pictures. read more

Only for quiet getaways...Very nice venue except for the fact that all the neighbors are in a battle at city hall with the owner Dr. Bennett for renting his property out without a business license and will definitely start calling the local police to come out to see you starting around 8 and will continue until you make no noise celebrating your paid event...don't expect to hear this from the venue though just google it and read for yourself! Anyhow its a real spoiler when you pay thousands of dollars for bands etc. to celebrate a once in a lifetime event. read more
