Sausage eggs on a everything bagel
Joan G.

I would not go here until December or January (sorry Yankees). The place was packed and there is no parking. NOTHING FOR HANDICAP PEOPLE. We found a spot when someone was pulling out. You have to walk in the street or a gravel lot. We went inside to order. Talk about a line. He finally got up to order and we also wanted a milk and orange juice. We found a place to sit inside. When our order came, he told her we also ordered a milk and orange juice. We were told they would bring it out when it was ready. After he finished his bagel, he looked over and saw a cooler. With orange juice and milk in it. He went over and got our drinks. Would I come back here? No, there are many places around to get breakfast. Dead Dog even has a salmon bagel. If you see me there, ask what I'm doing here!!!

Benjamin's is now my favorite breakfast spot in Surfside. We got there mid morning on a Saturday and the place was packed. The line to order was wrapped around the dining room but it moved quickly. While in line you can check out the walls lined with baked goods that they make in house. After we placed our orders, they gave us a number to set on a table outside and they brought it to the table. I had the Lotsa Lox bagel which came with cream cheese, capers, and of course lox. It was a delicious bagel. My wife loved her BEC bagel. I definitely recommend sitting outside if you come here as it's way too busy inside. Highly recommend Benjamin's.

Paczki

We stopped at Benjamin's Bakery on our way back from Myrtle Beach and were thoroughly impressed. We ordered the egg and cheese sandwiches on New York-style Asiago cheese bagels, and they were exceptional. The bagels had a shiny crust with just the right amount of hardness and a beautiful glaze, while the eggs were cooked to perfection. We couldn't resist grabbing a paczki (a Polish donut), which is a rare find in South Carolina. We chose the Bavarian Cream, and it didn't disappoint--it was giant, fresh, moist, and surprisingly not overly sweet. I'd definitely return to try the Raspberry paczki next time. With great prices, a fantastic food selection, friendly staff and top-notch quality, Benjamin's is an easy 5-star experience.

Quaint little sandwich and bakery shop. Excellent breakfast bagel and traditional sandwiches. Indoor and outside seating. Delicious coffees as well. Even when the line is long, the service is qu Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Cute little bakery serving up delicious bagels, pastries, sandwiches, coffees, etc. service has always been impeccable...they go above and beyond. It does get very crowded inside so be prepared to wait a bit and be cramped, but it's worth it. Basic food, done well. What more can you ask for?

On a recommendation from my brother and sister in law, we tried Benjamin's one morning for breakfast while on family vacation. All I can say is wow. Not only is every menu item beautiful, they are also equally delicious. The bread on the sandwiches was extra soft which I loved and the combos of sandwiches and toppings were elite. Their pastries were also super yummy. I love coffee cake and this one was moist with a thick layer of crumble on top. The real show stopper was the apple fritter. Rich, buttery, and scrumptious is how I would describe this little gem of a treat. They have an efficient way of ordering at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. Indoor seating is limited. This will definitely be a regular breakfast spot for our family in the years to come!

Menu board plenty of selections

Very small place, not enough tables, especially during tourist season. The seating area could be way more efficient. The Bagels and bakery items are fresh and delicious. The staff runs around shouting names, when they should buy an inexpensive PA system. We love going here for breakfast but stay away on weekends! They should find a larger place or blow out the wall next door for more room.

Austin's Choice - Egg, Roasted Red Pepper, Provolone, Sausage with Jalapeno Roasted Red Pepper Mayo on a toasted Everything Bage

The staff at Benjamin's are so sweet and helpful. I had the Austin's choice breakfast sandwich. Egg, Roasted Red Pepper, Provolone, Sausage with Jalapeno Roasted Red Pepper Mayo on a toasted Everything Bage It was sooo good. The roasted red pepper along with the mayo was the perfect amount to enhance the sausage. The bagel was phenomenal. Perfectly toasted with great chew.

I love be Benjamins everything is good from their bagel sandwiches to their pastries. Everything is fresh and there's always a line even in the offseason. The food came out quick and it is worth taking a trip when in Surfside!

I walked into the establishment, and the line is wrapped around to the door. This is my first indication of the popularity of this place! The business has a lot of staff behind the counter, patrons assigned numbers as they order. The staff are making food, drinks, and taking the complete orders out to patrons as they finish. This shows very efficient operations as line does move fast. There are many drink, and food choices! The decor is wonderful, vintage cameras, and cooking equipment. Excellent place!

A must everytime we are in town! The best bagels, breakfast sandwiches, coffees and even dog treats!

So good we went three times in two days. They have indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking around the store. Service was quick and staff kind. They additionally have to go breads, cookies and muffins. I have never heard of a bialy but now I need to find a way to get them shipped home to Charleston. It ate lighter than a bagel but with all the same flavor and texture. The breakfast sandwich cannot be missed with fresh ingredients but get it on the everything bialy. We got a variety of baked goods including the donut holes, dossant, black and white cookie and coffee cake + blueberry muffins. All were great with the coffee cake muffin and black and white cookie being our favorites. We also loved the iced coffees. Best part? The prices! All so reasonable we didn't feel guilty going back for lunch or ordering half the baked counter. This is a must stop when in Surfside.

This is the extra au jus
Chritopher D.

First time customer and not impressed at all. Sandwich was flat and meat did not have much flavor, bun not toasted at all. I asked for extra au jus and they gave me what a 1/2 oz? I would hate to see what I would had gotten had I not asked. I hope they put more effort into there baked goods

I sent a picture of our wedding cake and wanted a similar cake in smaller size for our anniversary,…read morethey brag about this as one of their specialties(custom cakes) I ordered a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and seashells in white chocolate and marzipan, just like the original cake. I was clear in my order, have it on my email still, and when the cake arrived it had chocolate frosting(on a carrot cake!) and the marzipan shells were nowhere to be seen. the white chocolate was tinted with regular chocolate to get sand color so no it was not white chocolate. Noone really liked the cake and when I complain I get this super rude LOOONG email back on how she: 1. worked so hard on it (thank you I know how long it takes since I make pretty advanced cakes myself as a hobby, but wanted a pro to do it since it was a very speial occasion) 2. that it LOOKED like it was chocolate icing and only chocolate shells 3. that she gave me a bigger cake than i ordered( since she couldnt find her smaller baking pan, gee thanks) 4. that she delivered the cake for free. She did deliver it but dumped the cake with our dinner guests that were arriving at the same time and never came into the house herself.. so no wonder she didnt get payed for delivery, which was my intent! In her email she calls my original cake ugly quote "I did not take a picture of the cake that I did because I thought it was ugly and I did not want another customer asking for it" and ended her email with quote " People like you are not welcome customers" I wrote that I wanted a refund but would have been happy with an explanation/apoplogy " sorry I made a mistake, how can I make it up to you?" is appearently not in her dictionary- "I have made cakes for 35 years" doesnt matter when you delivered the wrong thing. it doenst matter that the cake was bigger when nobody liked it. appearently 35 years of baking did not do anything for your customer service skills. Disappointed

That's why we took a little field trip to Nothing Bundt and grabbed one of each...red velvet, chocolate chocolate chip, and carrot cake bundlets. The lady that assisted me provided general customer service with a smile. But, she provided A+ customer service to the group ahead of me. I say this because she was tremendously patient with them...as they were very indecisive and took their sweet (pun intended) time discussing amongst themselves what they planned to get. They didn't care that others were waiting behind them. Kudos to the NB team member for keeping a smile on her face and patiently assisting them. Once we secured our package and got settled back at the ranch, we sampled all of the bumdlets...and of course they were tasty and moist. You can't go wrong patronizing Nothing Bundt if you want to grab a quick little something to satisfy your sweet tooth. This is also a great option when having a get together, family dinner, or holiday/special occasion gathering. Happy eating

Plenty of parking lot parking for it. They have maybe 8 to 10 flavors of mini bundts (bundtlets) and full size bundt cakes. Dang, they know how to charge for these too. A bundtlet will run you $5.50 plus tax and it's definitely made for just one person. We've tried key lime, lemon, carrot cake and red velvet in the last year (either through purchase of gifted on a birthday) and honestly, none, not one of them knocked off our socks. They're just mid...kinda meh. These might be worth it if you get emails from them that offer you a bogo (buy one get one free), but that's about it. I'd say, don't go out of your way for these bundtlets. I've yet to try one that made me go "WOW."

I reluctantly agreed and instantly upon opening the door started salivating. The smell of the freshly baked doughy goodness with ripples of cinnamon and glaze were to die for. The items on display only make the decision on what to order more difficult! From mini buns with custom flavored frosting, to larger flavor combo cinnamon buns (like almond joy or banana split!), to cookies, and breads.....you will probably leave here with more than one sweet treat. I opted for a regular sized fresh cinnamon buns with original icing, fresh blueberries, and pecans. It came out almost bursting open with plenty of ingredients topped on. No skimping here! The blueberries were of peak ripeness and slightly sour which really added a little cut to the sweetness factor and the pecans gave it a yummy crunch to each bite. I wish I could say I shared it but nope! So, in summary, while I may not be a cinnamon bun kinda girl normally, when I step into this store I become one!!! Super duper amazing products. Cashiers are always kind and receptive to any customizations or recommendations. The store is always very clean and maintained well!
