The doctors I've had with healor over the last 3 years have been great! However the office staff is…read morehorribly unprofessional and this office has not once but twice committed patient abandonment. I had my first pcp for 2 years (Chandler) and he was kind, responsive and did a good job managing my medications. I was sad to find out after a cancelled appointment without notice this last February that he left the practice "I now know why". The office failed to notify me and when I tried to schedule with a new doctor there they made me pay an extra $80 on top of my co-pay because I'm now a "New Paitient" I was finally able to have my first appointment with Callie Collins who was also noice and professional. A few days after this appointment I inquired about getting a referral for a procedure that had been briefly discussed already with my primary and they insisted I had to schedule another appointment "Money Grab"... the office staff was not only hard to get ahold of but were extremely rude to me when I explained the protocol for the doctor I was asking to be referred to. The office staff has very little in the way of medical knowledge, policy or procedure but we were able to get the referral done without an extra appointment. Fast forward to 07/01/2025 I tried to schedule an appointment with Quest for routine bloodwork that Callie Collins said she was going to order and it wasn't available. I tried all day and left messages with Healor about sending my bloodwork and they informed me that I was no longer a patient... horribly confused I tried calling and they ignored my calls but texted me that they sent me my medical records back on 04/28/2025 as if that was the indicator for discharging me as a patient. Those records were requested by me so I had hard copy's to go over with another specialist. There was zero communication between us in writing or verbal to indicate leaving the care of my pcp. After several attempts to figure out what's going on I recieved a text back from them that they discharged me for being rude. I texted back, That was not true and there is zero evidence of such events occurring. I am certain they made an error or misunderstood something "maybe me requesting my records" as me electing to leave which was not the case. In either case Healor failed to notify of cancellation or being discharged from their care. Fortunately I have maintained all communication records since the first incident of them not notifying me of my doctor leaving or cancellation. I have filed a complaint with the Nevada board and have since retained an attorney. An apology would go a long way in situations like this but they refuse to take accountability or any effort to rectify the issue in a professional manner. I am curious how many other patients of this facility have fallen victim to patient abandonment as this could end up as a class action suit. I've already had a few people I know tell me that they too have had this happen with them and have since found care elsewhere. If anyone else has experienced this please file a complaint at https://medboard.nv.gov/Patients/File_a_Complaint

She asked me again, my husband said my wife said no. She got snippy with him saying she needed to hear it from me. I told her that's three times we said no. She never gave me a renal diet or any guidance on nutrition! I did my own research. I left feeling I would die if I stayed there! Someone called me a few months later saying I refused a treatment. She never mentioned it to me. I had no idea what she was talking about! I needed a prescription refilled and Jennifer, Kumars assistant, gave me a refill for a month. She said my kidney level probably diminished and if I didn't do anything I'd need palliative care. Nice! First, you don't know what my numbers were to say that and then you have the nerve to mention palliative care.. she said if the edema didn't go down to just go to the hospital to get the excess fluid drained. No paperwork., no recommended hospital! What was I supposed to do walk into an emergency room and say hi I'm here to get drained. Do you know how asinine that sounds? I did my own research and found a nephrologist and guess what my kidneys have improved by 20%. I'm so glad I didn't just listen to them and used my own common sense! I would never recommend this facility or those two people! They need to learn compassion and remember your dealing with a persons life we are not cattle or numbers. We are people who have lives! Be your own advocate and do what's right for you.

Called at 09:30 am to schedule an appointment, got appointment set up and was trasfered to a "Medical Assistant" to schedule Lab work. Informed that I needed to go to LabCorp and "Medical Assistant" stated all I needed to do was to walk in LabCorp and they will do the Lab Test. Went to LabCorp who stated I needed to have orders for Labwork to be taken and they said KSOSN did not send in any thing regarding my bloodwork. Called KSOSN and receptionist transfered me to another "Medical Specialist", who stated Labs were expired and she will reissued. (Cue keyboard strokes) 10 minutes later, she stated "You're all set." Went back to LabCorp and they stated No orders were sent to us. Please contact KSOSN, Called again and receptionist stated there is no Labwork order let me transfer you.. Before he did, I cancelled my appointment and will look for another KidneY Specialist because of the incompetence of so called "Medical Assistants". UPDATE. Called today to ask for medical records and guy who answered phone was really rude and condescending who stated I'll give you the fax number and proceeded to give me the number and hangs up the phone with no explanation of process. Had to call back and same guy answers being rudely aggressive and says " you need to request for records in writing" then hangs up the phone. Guess this business will make things difficult for you when you want your medical records when you tell them that you are going to another specialist. Guess I"ll just go To my new doctor and start from stratch because KSOSN will treat you like trash when you no longer want to be a patient of theirs. Same on this company.

They are in a beautiful new clean building. There's no long walking if you just happen to be short of breath. The nurse took her time with me and didn't rush to the exam room. She asked me so the necessary questions for the doctor. The doctor was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I'll say it again, the doctor was AMAZING!!!! He spent the time needed to understand what I needed and have me the steps we may need to fix them. I didn't feel rushed and asked me if I had questions. I asked everything I needed and understood my treatment plan. Thank God I was referred to them and so thankful. I have a follow-up on a month but if I need anything before then, they let me know to just give them a call. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.
