First time here and it's was really awesome! Yes it's a little pricey however if you sign up for a birthday certificate the price will be discounted. My meal included with a entrée was mushroom soup with side salad. I order ordered chicken filet mignon with fried rice very well prepared and really yummy! The chef was really awesome and fun to interact with. All staff were professional and knowledgeable and friendly. For me it was far from where I reside and the driving entrance of the restaurant is very confusing (missed the turn twice not knowing which way I need to drive lol) great place with families and friends. I was very discouraged trying this restaurant based off of the reviews left here on Yelp. But I was in the mood for hibachi and it was a Friday afternoon so we decided to try this location anyway. We did call and make a reservation, there was no issue once we walked in we were immediately seated. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. This experience at Benihana has been the absolute worst! This is our first time going to the Benihana's in the area and it will definitely be the last. Order a steak and shrimp hibachi dinner....the steak was dry, the shrimp was soggy (both lacking flavor). We got chicken fried rice with 3 tiny little pieces of chicken and that was dry and flavorless. This is really put a bad rep on the brand Benihana. Where to start? We decided to give the Benihana franchise another shot after having a very poor experience in another city (Orlando). We figured there was no way we could have a similarly bad time at a restaurant several States away. Boy were we wrong! We had reservations so were seated right away (good). Our server came and took our order fairly promptly (also good). Then our chef arrives. And that is where it went downhill. First she argued with us on how many fried rices we had ordered. We knew everyone of us had very clearly ordered fried rice, but she had one short. So she had to get more. Then she was SLOW and no "show" whatsoever. It was boring. And did I mention SLOW? She cooked everything individually. And the food was bland. While the steak was tender, we had to use the yum yum sauce to give it any flavor. It just wasn't good. But I am getting ahead of myself... we had ordered sushi to start. We got three of the rolls we had ordered... had to wait 20 minutes (and finally ask) for the fourth one. 6 out of 8 of us got our drinks... we had to ask after 15 minutes for the other two to come. Finally, towards then end, while waiting for ice cream (which we had to pay extra for our kids, which is whatever, but for the prices this place charges, you'd think they could throw in free ice cream for kids when you have 6 paying adults... but whatever)... anyway, while waiting for ice cream, I had to take my two young daughters to he restroom. And it was a HORROR. Out of three stalls, only one was useable. One had vomit all over the seat and floor, the other had a literal entire roll of toilet paper thrown in it. I get it that they can't control the clientele, but this restroom clearly had not been serviced in a while. We told one of the employees and they came to clean it, but by that time we were so disgusted we just left (without eating the ice cream). Overall it was a $450 mistake (and yes, that was the bill for 8 people including tip). Anyway, NEVER AGAIN! I will never frequent ANY Benihana again. This place is WAY overpriced and WAY overrated for what you actually get. There are MUCH BETTER local family-owned Japanese Steakhouses in the area where you get more value for your money. read more

Not really sure where to start. I'm going to base this review solely on our visit tonight. We came to celebrate my birthday. The coupon I received could only be used Monday-Thursday. We got there around 5 and there was another family waiting, and one other table that was seated. We were told it was going to be a 10 minute wait. We waited almost 30 minutes to be seated. It was clear they were understaffed. The food was mediocre. The dressing on the salad was not like it normally is, it was pretty bitter. The chef forgot the vegetables, and brought back 2 slices of zucchini to be shared by 3 of us. The portion was not what you would expect for dinner. The manager and waitress sang happy birthday and brought out chocolate ice cream, after they both asked and I requested rainbow sherbet. We came here for lunch the week before last and had excellent service and the food was good. And the portions, there was so much we had to take it home. And that was during lunch! The only reason we ordered from Benihana tonight is because our normal favorite Japanese place is closed right now because of the COVID-19 quarantine. Should have just gone a different route. We had to do curbside since the dining room is closed. Unfortunately when we got home we realized they completely EFFED up our order. I wanted fried rice, not white ... the guy taking our order must have said five times "it comes with fried rice" to which we replied "ok, good. That's what I want". I get home, I got white rice, not fried. My husband specifically ordered his with no onions but it appears they gave him extra onions instead of NONE. The veggies are zucchini and onions only? Wtf?! I came here on a Sunday night with a party of four for some hibachi. The wait wasn't too long to get seated, but I would say the service was lacking a little. The chef was entertaining and had some cute tricks, but seemed a bit disorganized. The kitchen apparently had given him the wrong meat (which wasn't his fault), but delayed out meal a bit. I felt bad for this one woman seated at our table - the chef wasn't given enough shrimp, but found this out after the fact. He had to go back to the kitchen and she had to wait for her meal to be cooked while the whole table was eating. The waitress seemed a bit confused at times - mixing up/forgetting drinks, but she was friendly. I ordered a medium filet minion, which appeared a bit over cooked. The soup and salad were meh - pretty standard. The ice cream was honestly my favorite part. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but for the price, it was definitely underwhelming. I feel like they would benefit more from a more unified/organized system of ordering so the chefs and waiters/waitresses aren't confused and going back and forth to get things. In addition, our table was really crowded, and the waitress took a while to clear out unneeded plates (salad/soup bowls/empty drinks). First this is not the place to get the greatest food. The steak I ordered wasn't seasoned earlier in the day, it was seasoned at the table so it was bland. Same as the chicken, it wasn't marinated earlier or anything so it's bland. If you want a good steak then your best bet is a steakhouse, if you want good teriyaki chicken, then go to a Japanese restaurant.
