Zu unserer Überraschung…read morewurde uns jedoch der Zutritt verweigert, mit der Begründung, dass unsere Gruppe am Vorabend angeblich 15 Minuten länger geblieben sei, nachdem die Küche geschlossen hatte. Als "Lösung" wurde uns angeboten, das Essen zum Mitnehmen zu bestellen und es anschließend in der Lobby unseres Hotels zu verzehren. Für eine internationale Geschäftsgruppe, die ein gemeinsames Abendessen geplant hatte, ist das weder angemessen noch gastfreundlich. Dieses Vorgehen ist nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern beschädigt auch das Ansehen des Restaurants und wirft gleichzeitig ein schlechtes Licht auf das gesamte Hotel. Das Verhalten grenzt an Rassismus und hinterlässt einen äußerst negativen Eindruck. Für internationale Gäste oder Geschäftsreisen ist dieses Lokal daher nicht empfehlenswert.

I ate everything and left hungry (I usually fill up very fast.). Location was clean and staff was friendly. Beware, smoking on the outside dining patio is very much alive and well, and supported by the restaurant by providing an ash tray for every outside table. I had to breathe in smoke from the chain smoker sat at the next table for my entire meal. Yuck.

By today the company has several branches throughout the country including a larger restaurant in St. Peter. The branch offers a variety of fish rolls (typical for Northern Germany), typical seafood, fish dishes, and other snacks. The St. Peter branch consists of an outside patio surrounding the shack with high tables and chairs, lounge seating and typical Northern German beach cabanas (two-seaters called 'Strandkorb') from where you can watch the sunset. Inside you have the choice between private tables or mixed seating areas. All food and drinks have to be self ordered and you have to pick them up. Occasionally there are parties taking place in the restaurant that are open to public. I personally prefer the fish rolls and the Matjes (young salty hering) that are always tender and almost melt in your mouth... Depending on the cooks main dishes can be greasy and too heavy, but their specialty are the Garlic Shrimps, raw seafood, and as said the fish rolls. The only negative thing about this Gosch branch is that some bartenders and cooks are unfriendly. I usually stop by the branch when I am around and always was running into some grumpy people. No credit cards accepted. Average entrée: EUR 10-15.
