I'm not a huge fan of Google reviews because the vetting process is lax…read more I tend to rely on YELP reviews because they at LEAST have some minor vetting processes in place to make sure you're not a friend or relative of the business. My only 'complaint' is that while Yelpers tend to review restaurants and salons - they don't typically Yelp about doctors, lawyers, nursing homes, funeral homes, etc - businesses where your opinions and reviews can REALLY matter to the reader / consumer. I guess it's because during the times when you need the aforementioned businesses - you're not really in a good headspace to review - you're in crisis mode. So . . . I'm here to change all that. Lol. I have only used The Patrick Firm one time, officially - and overall - I'm happy. Attorney Mike Patrick was as tenacious as a bulldog on a previous matter and I was NOT his client - so I reached out to him for help with a closing. He responded whilst on vacation - which I was impressed with. Stacy Patrick also reached out to me. His paralegal, Karen - is also super responsive - with regards to phone calls and emails, I have never met a more responsive paralegal - which is really why I ranked them at 5 stars. And let me just say - now that both Dad and Mother have passed away - I've had WAAAAY more interactions with lawyers (probate, real estate, etc) than I would like. And it's awesome to have an attorney's office that believes in follow-up. The receptionist is a little rough around the edges. Will NOT take a message. Phone skills a little hinky. And we did seem to have a bit of a disconnect with regards to the "buyer pays ALL closing costs and attorney fees" aspect of the process - but overall - we were happy with the attorney. Yelp doesn't have a way to rate someone 4.5 stars - so I rounded up to 5 stars. If we cannot work out the 'buyer pays ALL closing costs and attorney fees' aspect of the closings - then I do not know if we will use them for future closings - but I would still recommend them. If nothing else - they answer the phone and return calls which I've discovered is a rarity among attorney offices these days.

Would leave zero stars if I could. Worked with Cassie McDonald. Worst closing I've ever had. I…read morebuy/sell multiple properties a month, so I do a lot of closings. Used Ligon, because the seller wanted to use them. Anytime I needed to get a hold of Cassie, it was difficult, she informed me a week and a half before our scheduled closing date that all the paperwork on her end was done and we can close any day. We kept the closing date where we had originally scheduled it and when the time came, things were a mess. Because it was so messy, I wanted to confirm that I had title insurance on the deal. I was told that we did, but she forgot to charge us, so she has to now update our total. (This is on the day of closing mind you). Okay, fine, she charges us $400 and change for the title insurance. I send the wire, we should be good. NOPE! She emails me back and says she forgot to charge her attorney fees, so she wants another wire for $750. I was finally able to get a hold of her to discuss and I find out only $500 of that is their attorney fee, the other $250 is a title fee that they also forgot to charge. So at this point, it's closing in on $1,200 of charges after we've already wired the money to close. I also found out that Cassie took a chunk out of the sellers funds somewhere along the way too! I will NEVER work with these guys again. They acted like it was my fault that they forgot to charge me and then acted like they were doing me a favor by ONLY charging me $750 for their fees. NOPE, never paid that much for a closing attorney before. Hope that $750 buys you some more clients guys, because everyone in my network that buys in your area will know to never work with you guys.
