She listens closely to concerns, takes the time to assess individual needs and conditions, and is always gentle and never forceful in manipulation. She's as skilled with the activator as she is manual adjustment, and lets the patient choose whatever feels comfortable for that visit. Wow, I don't know how to explain the phone service here. I tried to call as new patient and they just answered with "hello" and then they were gonna charge $200 till my insurance went through to refund it back to me. I really liked her at first, but I asked her time and time again to please crack me and not use the activator and she just ignored me so I stopped seeing her the other thing I didn't like is in the very beginning she took a bunch of x-rays that were not covered by insurance when I already gave her my x-rays andshe did something else that cost me money that wasn't covered by insurance just to make extra so I'm not seeing her anymore! read more

I've had a pain in my back for over 30 years. In the past, I've gone to many doctors who gave me shots, chiropractors, even tried acupuncture. Nothing ever took the pain away. When I first came to town, I saw a Pain Management doctor. I was given heavy duty pain pills along with a couple of procedures that did absolutely nothing. I really didn't like taking the pills, but I had to escape the pain. After about a year of living here, a new friend told me about Dr Bend. I really wanted to get off the pain meds so I decided to give her a try. Her method was unlike any I had experienced in the past. After seeing Dr Bend for a little over two weeks, I noticed the pain was gone! I was thrilled and had no pain for almost 3 continuous months. One day, UPS delivered a box that was way too heavy. I should not have carried it up my stairs. The pain came back. I immediately returned to Dr Bend's office. I'm happy to say that after two more weeks, the pain had gone away again. To me, Dr. Bend is a miracle worker! I suffered so many years with that pain. I tried so many different avenues to get rid of it, but all it took was two weeks of seeing Dr Bend three times a week at first and my pain was gone. My quality of life has returned. I've gotten to know a couple of her office staff who are wonderful. They go out of their way to help me get in when I'm in need. Dr Bend has changed my life. My experience with Bend Chiropractic was mixed. The office called me saying they received my referral from my doctor so I assumed I was ready to be seen. I later found out they needed an authorization, which was denied by my insurance. This caused some frustration. Dr. Bend seemed to be caring and helpful but the downside was they wanted to sell me a year's worth of treatment that I could barely afford but was left feeling like I should get the treatments or I would end up crippled. Luckily, after the insurance denial, I got most of my money back. The office called again just a few days ago saying they had my referral. My insurance had denied the service. Long story short, I would not recommend Bend Chiropractic to anyone. read more

I have been going to Dr. Bend for a few months now and days like today I am especially grateful that I found her and the smiling team that greets me when I walk through the door!! A little weakness and pain in my elbow and wrist had me worried about an arm injury and her care has me on the road to recovery already! I walked in her door for the first time because I have had issues with headaches for as long as I can remember. I've been to a few chiropractors over the years and have had relief here and there but Dr Bend's office was the first that did a full round of x-rays and took the time to really show me my alignment issues and how they are affecting me. The other week I even woke up on a Saturday morning with a headache that was going to ruin my day off, Dr. Bend fit me in and was able to relieve the pain and changed my whole weekend! Same issues as others reported. They do not know how billing works in this office. I have emailed and called several times before getting a response from the office, and even after speaking with someone and being promised a reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs that I paid that should have been covered by my insurance, I have yet to receive a reimbursement. Additionally, they seem to want their patients to come into the office 3-4x a week and pay and arm and a leg for service. Upon getting a second opinion I found that I do not need such invasive care, but only monthly adjustments and physical therapy. Dr. Bend was nice, but the whole experience was a nightmare. read more

My husband has had severe back problems for years now. While we were dating, his back would go out at least once a year and after we got married the problems escalated into his back going out every two or three months. When his back goes, he can't move for a week and suffers painful spasms. ,We tried going to the hospital and got no where with them. They acted like he was some sort of junkie looking for a fix. I had enough and out of desperation I went to the yellow pages and found Bend Chiropractic listed and dragged my husband in. They accept Care Credit which was awesome since its a bit pricey for visits. They iced his back down and later did an x-ray and did adjustments on him. They gave a lot of fantastic advice, including ice therapy when his back hurts, and with a few visits and adjustments, his back hasn't gone out in 7 years. I do not recommend Bend Chiropractic. They claim to take insurance, yet don't seem to know how to bill insurance. Ask before your visit, how much they charge for first visit. They charge 200.00 cash for X-ray, even though it's covered by insurance. It's been over a month and they have not even billed my insurance. I asked for a super bill today to send directly to my insurance. They have had many staff quit in the short time I've been trying to get this resolved. It's not a happy office. read more

My experience at Bend Chiropractic was not good. I have been to many chiropractors over the years and this was near or at the bottom. I had a dozen approved visit from my insurance. The first couple of adjustments were thorough, unhurried and effective, though I was charged $199 for initial exam/x-rays, and hustled to buy a yearly plan. Indeed it was over an hour of a sales pitch before I got my first adjustment. When I declined the plan things went downhill from there until the adjustments lasted 3 or 4 minutes at best and offered no relief. I get that insurance companies don't pay much (they were billed for several 15 treatments each visit), but that's no excuse for not doing much (if that). In fact I stopped going because it was a complete waste of time. Again I have 40 plus years as a chiropractic patient. Dr. Bend certainly knows her craft and is a well reviewed doctor, but not in my experience there. read more
